Blackrock Base
So named for its proximity to the human village of Blackrock, Blackrock Base is the center for Decepticon operations within the California-Nevada Zone. It is a subterranean base beneath Split Mountain in the Sierra National Forest.
While it serves the secondary functions of an observation post and supply hub for Decepticon forces, Blackrock Base also works as a research and development facility. While normally it would be a bad idea to place a research base so close to the Autobots, the current ceasefire and Blackrock Base's proximity to humans makes a coordinated attack nearly impossible.
Security for the base is still tight, as trespassers even a few miles away are stopped by patrols and turned back. Visitors without full clearance for the base are given location jammers and nanoblinders, to keep the exact coordinates a secret.
Blackrock Base is commanded by Kiloton, though most day-to-day operations are managed by Backdraft.
Blackrock Base is separated into independent "Sectors" connected by access tunnels. There are seven such sectors- some divided into further subsectors.

- Blackrock Base Aerodrome
- Blackrock Base Central Production
- Blackrock Base Service Housing, which is divided between the barracks sectors and the central common facilities
- Blackrock Base Central Requisition
- Blackrock Base Central Command
- Blackrock Base Research and Development Sector, which is divided between B/CB/Bio Sector, Applied Psychometry Sector, and the Dark Unit
