The Autobots are the Cybertronian Empire's military. Their primary function is peacekeeping-- upholding the law throughout the Empire and its colonies.
The Autobots are considered to have been founded by Vector Prime, and originated as the guardians of Iacon in ancient times.
Since the Great War, they have been opposed by the Decepticon movement.
