The population is a mosaic mainly made up of humans descended from the former The Cinnetilthe Empire. But also populated by many other peoples who have chosen to put down roots on the popular trade route.

Government

The government is an absolute monarchy, with the local area of West LAmplight being presided over by Baron Elmer Von Westlicht seated at Westlight Castle.

Defences

Westlight is protected on the north by the river and drawbridge, and on all other sides by a mixture of stone and palisade walls. The inner market and Castle districts are protected by the much older and repaired Imperial-era stone wall.

Districts

Though it is a city, there are not many districts but it could be divided into the:   Market, Castle, and residential.

History

The City was founded and built up during the reign of the The Cinnetilthe Empire but during the calamity, it was abandoned due to the unnatural disasters and invasion by roving raiders and monsters. But the City would be retaken around the year 10005 by a group of survivors led by The Lampknight and his companions. From then on the Lampknight was known as a local hero and became the de facto ruler of the province until his death years later. In the centuries following the city would prosper and become the new vital hub of trade in New Tarriem that would help distribute goods to the many struggling new kingdoms.

Points of interest

The Local Goddess Temple: Temple to Their Goddess Grace - The reflective silver marble and blue tiled roof of its tall bell tower and lush green graveyard can be seen from afar, as travelers near the town. Though first, they would certainly hear its pleasant chimes echo out over the countryside. Behind the temple is an attached graveyard that is said to house the Tomb of the beloved local hero The Lampknight .

Architecture

Most buildings are constructed of a mixture of wood and stone, as both are plentiful in the area. Usually, the first floor or foundations will be made of strong grey stone, and the upper floors of wood. Upper floors are generally also larger than the ground floors as a way to get around land taxation. Other than that the houses are fairly plane and well kept with clean white-washed walls.

Geography

The geography is a mixture of southern plains leading into rolling hills that terminate once they reach the large river that flows into the nearby ocean. The Lamplight forest is nearby to the north and east.
