Shal’Azura’s easternmost district trails along the Fajirun River as it winds through its steeply descending canyon, eventually reaching the Bennabi Falls—a majestic waterfall that cascades hundreds of feet down into Wadi Akhdar. The streets and alleys wind along the canyon's edge, with small tents and canopies lining one side of the path where marvelous houses and shops have been artfully carved from the solid rock, while intricately knotted silk railings protect the unwary from slipping.
Across the canyon, stone bridges span from one side to the other. These bridges are illuminated by hundreds of lamps, and they bustle with market stalls, delicatessens, and artists filling the spaces along the bridges and pathways.
The Bennabi Bridge Crossing, an intricate network of magically fortified rope bridges extending hundreds of feet across and reaching nearly 400 feet in height, offers a stunning view of the Eastern Sands. A collection of quaint taverns and tea houses made from bamboo and vibrant fabrics stretches along the eastern side of Bennabi Bridge Crossing. The area is alive with delicious aromas, as each establishment serves an array of treats. The sounds of clinking glasses, cheerful conversations, and gentle music blend seamlessly with the rushing sound of the river beneath.
