MORE - Parts and Bits
MORE - Parts & Bits is one of several shops in Makira, nestled snugly between other storefronts and easy to miss. This unassuming shop, however, is much more than a simple retail outlet for everyday gadgets; it serves as a spare parts emporium, a repair hub, an inventor's lab, and the residence of its three proprietors: Aurelie More'ta, Luvyck Aleabath, and Nelly Fadiy.
Upon entering, you're greeted by a cheerful doorbell and delightful chaos—a treasure trove of gears, wires, and peculiar gadgets, each meticulously arranged to spark the imagination. The walls are adorned with shelves that boast a dazzling array of mechanical parts, their metallic surfaces glinting under the warm glow of vintage lamps. The air is alive with the rhythmic ticking of at least three dozen meticulously crafted mechanical clocks, mingling with the faint yet distinct scent of machine oil and ancient dust and the gentle purr of an automaton cat that ambles from shelf to shelf over slim copper bridges, cleaning away dust with its front broompaws. This combination creates an atmosphere that whispers of endless possibilities and beckons the curious mind into a realm of boundless innovation while simultaneously creating an environment that might overwhelm the untrained eye. In such cases, the ever-helpful Nelly is quick to assist, swiftly locating any needed item.
Repairs and custom creations are common at MORE - Parts & Bits. Customers waiting for service can relax on a green sofa to the right of the entrance, where they are offered tea, coffee, and biscuits. For minor repairs, a small workbench in the center of the room suffices. For more extensive work, a fully-equipped workshop is concealed behind a curtain made from beads of screws, nuts, and various small components. The heart of the shop is filled with spare parts and half-completed inventions, with several workbenches overflowing with tools and even a tiny forge.
A staircase ascends from the main shop floor to the private quarters on the first floor, reserved for the three owners and off-limits to customers. Many first-time visitors have stumbled into MORE and emerged as contented regulars. For those who can't get enough of the shop's inspiring atmosphere, MORE - Parts & Bits also has a stand at the Market of Melodies twice a month.

Architecture
More Parts & Bits, with its multiple floors, gives the impression of a squat building due to its extraordinary width. Even at first glance, any onlooker can tell that it's one of the oldest structures in the area. Its sturdy walls, made of weathered white sandstone, stand largely unadorned, featuring predominantly right angles that reflect a practical and sturdy architectural style, save for a single, gently curved exception at the easternmost end. The building’s squat appearance is further emphasized by the expansive rooftop gardens that stretch across several levels, their vibrant greenery creating a striking contrast against the pale stone. These gardens, with their lush foliage and bursts of colorful flowers, seem to reach ambitiously toward the heavens, adding a touch of nature's grace to the otherwise austere facade.
