Spooktober 2025

Woo! My second Spooktober! Now it's on my hub world :) I worked the weekend the livestream was held, and for several days afterward, worked on this hub world, so I hadn't even seen the prompts until about a half a week after it launched.   Last year I did pirate tales, mainly because I didn't really like how they specifically had to be generic articles. I'm a stickler for organization and stuff, and if I'm going to create a species or character or something, I just like to use the right template, since they each have their own unique sections. I just don't like trying to do those sections manually; it's just more work, and I like things to be consistent. However, after being on World Anvil for over a year now, I've since grasped how to write articles and worldbuild, so I won't limit myself to only using specific templates for certain things.   I could, however, also use the template for the article, and link it from a generic article, and submit that for the prompts. I just never liked this approach because it just kinda spams my world with useless articles. However, now that I have a hub world, I guess that doesn't really matter anymore!   Unlike last year, I'm not working on any statblocks right now, and I'm planning a smaller goal for NovelEmber. So, hopefully, I'll get more prompts in than I did last year.   With that said, I won't be doing only pirate tales this year. It was fun, but it was also very limiting. But also, I have a NEW world that I just started at the beginning of September! So I have more places to write for prompts!! (and is one of the reasons why I have this hub world now)   Edit November 2nd: omg I barely made it, haha. I was frantically writing stuff the last few days of the event, but I got them in! Somehow managed to do one more needed to get the badge :)
