Denos thrives as a peaceful agrarian land, its people living in harmony with the land they till.

Residents: The kingdom owes its prosperity to the diligent efforts of its human inhabitants, who migrated to Denos during the cataclysmic event known as the Great Cataclysm. They brought with them their knowledge of farming and cultivated the land with care, turning it into a bountiful breadbasket.

Government and Politics: The kingdom is ruled by a hereditary king. Relations with other nation-states along the Aorlan coast are good with the exception of Venn who's ruler is arrogant and rude. Denos has hostile relations with the city-state of Khu due to their clandestine support of piracy along the Aorlan coastline.

Economy: The kingdom's economy thrives on its agricultural exports, allowing Denos to establish prosperous trade relations with its neighboring kingdoms. Denos is a major exporter of barley, oats, and wheat. The rich fertile soils along with abundant rainfall produce very high yields of these essential grain crops. The abundant surplus of grain each year ensures food security for its people, and allows these crop to be traded for other goods and resources.

Military: Denos is renowned for its formidable cavalry units, who diligently patrol and safeguard its borders. These skilled horsemen are respected throughout the region for their unwavering vigilance and commitment to defending the kingdom's sovereignty. While Denos may not possess the military might of larger realms, its well-trained cavalry and peaceful reputation serve as a deterrent against external threats. The kingdom's strength lies in its ability to maintain peace within its borders and foster strong diplomatic ties with its neighbors.

History: Prior to the Great Cataclysm, the land on what today is the Kingdom of Denos was a mostly uninhabited wilderness. As the first settlers landed on its shores they began to clear the forest and plant crops. The small villages florished and grew until the land of Denos was transformed into a rich agricultural area. Throughout its history, Denos has experienced relative stability and growth. It has weathered occasional conflicts and skirmishes, but its dedication to maintaining a peaceful agrarian society has preserved its prosperity and earned the respect of its neighboring realms.

Today: Denos is a peaceful agrarian kingdom. Its rolling abundant grain fields cover the landscape. Most of its human inhabitants live in small villages where farming is the major profession. Conflicts with neighbors are rare and relations with the neighboring lands of Shenshire and Pelarr are good. Occasionally dangerous creatures emerge from the old forest of Mithtaur but the ever watchful cavalry usually takes care of them before they become a menace to the kingdom. For the most part, relations with the humanoid inhabitants of Mithtaur are reliably stabile.
