This makes the force second nature to him and his ability to manipulate it is extensive. He is most recognized by his mastery of pyrokinetics, the conjuring and manipulation of heat and fire. It is something he has always been interested in and spent his many years perfecting. He is able to burn something at extreme temperatures within a contained area such as a body or a room. By targeting something specific he can increase the temperature of individual atoms to only destroy what he wants leaving surround areas unharmed. This is what he did in the Cradle of Life when he removed all the animals but preserved the plants and trees.

Personal history
Teregun was born on Tython in 10632 TYA. His parents were both Je'daii warriors which making a warriors path the natural path for him to follow. He had an older brother who died when Teregun was 15. He died as a result of a brawl outside a small tavern that he had passed by, it was a simple case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time making the tragedy that much worse for the rest of the family. Teregun still young when this happened was greatly affected by this, becoming angrier and more cynical at the world. This was one of the first major incidents in his life that would push him towards the dark side of the force.
He struggled with the loss of his brother for two years, not talking much to anyone and becoming a social outcast by his own choice. He still went to school and training but spent most of his spare time alone and out in the woods. He often just walked for hours in the woods when he didn't hunt. He took some comfort in the peace and quiet of the wilds, away from people whom he despised. Finishing the primary and secondary school he started training in the art of combat with the Je'daii warriors, learning the art of the sword. Having a strong connection to the force the Je'daii masters insisted that he received further training in the understanding and use of Ashlan, thinking he might one day become one of the prime warrior’s adept in both force and blade. It was during his time spent with the scholars he met Mir at the age of 19. It was also during this period he received a teacher with a different view on the force. His new teacher was one of the many who studied Bogan, the dark side, and felt it was important for Teregun to learn about it. This would further strengthen Teregun’s connection to the dark side and his knowledge expanded.
During his studies Mir was his only friend, still isolating himself from almost everyone Mir always went to seek him out, forcing an unexpected friendship that Teregun would learn to treasure. They often spent time together without ever speaking, just walking or meditating in silence together, which was what Teregun appreciated in the relationship. He saw Mir as different from everyone else, he was not pretentious or fake. He was honest and respectful, understanding that Teregun needed his space and quiet. Mir also both respected and encouraged the study and use of both Ashlan and Bogan, always saying the balance between the two was what the Je'daii in the past had always believed and it was the natural way of things.
The two grew somewhat apart later when they were studying for their different future roles in the Je'daii society. But even then, one a warrior the other a scholar they kept in contact and often met just to meditate together.
When Teregun was done with his studies he was posted as a guard in the Anil Kesh Temple. His task was simple protect travelers coming and going, ensure the safety of those who studied there and perhaps most importantly train and prepare the students and scholar in how to endure the adverse effects of the mighty force storms that raged in the chasms beneath the temple. His posting there allowed for him to properly reconnect with Mir who spent a lot of time in the Temple and the Chasm studying the Tho Yor and Gree technology. He was posted there until 10660 TYA and the beginning of the Force Wars.
When the Force Wars began on Tython and the Je'daii were split between the followers of Bogan and those of Ashlan Teregun still only had one friend, Mir. It was therefore a natural choice for him to come when Mir summoned him and the other founding members of the Order. He had known most of them for a while through Mir but had no real connection to them. During their first meeting at the official founding of the Ordo he agreed with Mir and the others, the Je'daii had lost their way, this war was wrong in every way possible. They were supposed to follow the balance of Ashlan and Bogan, not chose one over the other. His beliefs made him stay with the rest and found the order, and the balance between dark and light became even more important to him.
His personality and abilities made him a natural protector of the newfound order. He did not care much for socializing with the other members and was not much of a social support or creative designer. He was a simple man, and so he was made the Flame, a burning guardian for the order whose primary objective was to protect the order as a whole. This task suited him well, making his responsibility narrow and simple.
The Force Wars made the Je'daii weakened and unprepared for the Rakata and their Infinite Empire who quickly became the orders main enemy after the Force Wars. By then they had relocated to Helska III and started construction of the Citadel but both Mir and Teregun realized they had to do something drastic if the order was ever to survive and be able to defeat the Rakata. Mir had by then already started withdrawing, too focused in his work and struggle to beat time, to become something more so that he may have both the time and knowledge to defeat the Infinite Empire. Teregun approached him in 10713 TYA after three of the founding members of the order had already perished. He was worried about his old friend, and about the order he had sworn to protect and wanted Mir’s help and guidance on what he could do himself to ensure the Ordo would endure.
Mir would be fanatical at this point, his work and his fear of the future had consumed him, but he offered Teregun a possibility, something he had considered for himself, but discarded due to the danger, and a result he felt was not enough for his need. For Teregun however the result would work perfectly, or so they both believed.
Mir had learned through his many years of studying Gree, Rakata, Je'daii and Tho Yor technology and mythology that there were rituals and ways of separating one’s soul or spirit from the corporeal world without it joining the greater force. Effectively putting an individual between planes of existence. Teregun was intrigued by the idea and agreed that it would serve their purpose and his mission, protecting the order, now and always. Mir had speculated that the side effects might be dire and unpredictable, to detach one’s spirit whilst keeping it from fading away was experimental at best and an unnatural state of being. Teregun accepted the risk involved, stating that he would die before long regardless and so it was better to attempt anything, if the Rakata were to ever be stopped.
In 10714, Mir and Teregun preformed an experimental ritual of their own design, lending knowledge and speculation from many different ancient sources in the hopes of turning Teregun into something new, and immortal. It was in 10714 Teregun’s physical body died, it was destroyed during the ritual, but his spirit remained. Their predictions and hopes had come true, Teregun was able to move through the force, communicate and attach himself to a host body. There were unexpected side-effects however that would leave Mir with a feeling of guilt that he would never let go of. Teregun in his new state of being was trapped in a state of constant agony. It almost killed him entirely shortly after the ritual, the pain and suffering almost too much for his spirit to withstand. It would shift his aura towards the dark side, something that gave him the strength to endure the eternal torture. The suffering of his sacrifice is the reason he would never again lean towards the light, but instead always have a stronger connection to Bogan, helping him through the eternal punishment.
Teregun would attach himself to his first host in 10716 after two years of wandering the galaxy in his new form, learning who and what he was now, and how to control himself and his abilities. His first host was a volunteer Templar who was prepared to give his life if need to be further the cause of the order. Teregun learned that he could take control of his host but keep their essence and spirit alive and with him in the process. Over time however his first hosts spirit deteriorated and was eventually destroyed by Teregun’s presence. It would take five more hosts for Teregun to learn to properly co-exist with those he attached himself to. He did also learn during that time that he could during dire circumstances absorb the essence of his host, adding the experiences and knowledge of that individual to his own, but it was something he refrained from doing unless the host was close to death and the body unable to withstand the duress of having two separate entities within it.
After the Rakata were defeated the galaxy became a much quieter place, and Teregun decided there was no need to take another host. There was no need for him anymore. He went to Mir to inform him that he would go into the closest thing he could get to a slumber. This is when Mir revealed to him the rings. Small devices that could be imprinted with a fragment of each of the Council of Seven. He informed Teregun that if these were to be handed down from one Pillar to the next, so could the shards within ensuring a thin but important link between the first and those who would be current in the future. For Teregun he had devised a way to end his eternal suffering. His new form allowed for his spirit to not only take a host but be imprinted on an object if constructed right.
Teregun was given the Ring of the Flame, and in it sat seven yellow crystals, each able to contain a piece of his spirit which would effectively break him, and thereby ending the suffering of existence. When brought together again Teregun would once more be whole and able to take a host. Mir would be able to arrange for it all and promised that he would have everything ready for Teregun when he was needed once more in the future. Teregun used the ring and imprinted his spirit into the seven crystals. What he hadn't expected was a split awareness. He did not cease to exist in the manner Mir had expected and was instead split up, making seven diminished force ghosts of him, roaming the galaxy during his slumber, each a part of him but without pain and without consciousness. Only purpose was left in these shells of Teregun, and their purpose was nothing but wait, until summoned once more.
When the first Alsakan Conflict began a second Crusade was called. This was not done by Mir who by then was blinded by his own studies of the origin of the Tho Yor, but instead done by the descendants of the order. That is why Teregun was not awoken until later during the Crusade, when Mir had noticed the order was active once more and may need protection. Alas this time it would seem the order needed more protection from itself than anything else, being close to corruption and having lost their way. Mir summoned Teregun through a new process he had developed which allowed for each shard to find its own way back together making Teregun whole once more. He had also constructed a new facility during Teregun’s slumber, Avalon he called it. It was a chamber based on Gree and Tho Yor design, a place that operated itself and had wonderous capabilities of both production and replication. It could also fabricate an extremely advanced virtual intelligence, "Auxilium", that could assist any visitors. Teregun’s first ring would become the key required to activate Avalon and a new ring was made for Teregun to house his spirit during his next slumber. Spending some time to familiarize himself with the technology of Avalon Teregun learned more about his own slumber and what he as a spirit could do differently the next time. For one it would help to have a host ready for him, something he decide he would be able to arrange as long as one of his seven shards could persuade someone to accept the call of the flame. The rest of his time during the second Crusade was spent teaching the members of the order and reinforcing the beliefs of the Templars, however it was during this time he realized he needed help. The order was about to fall apart, and only someone from the first Crusade could help him. Once again Mir was able to help, he had managed to challenge both time and space, and instructed Teregun in how he might be able to bring back the Seeker from the first Crusade. The Seeker had died in the cradle of Bogan which was the key to making the ritual Teregun was about to preform possible. He would reach with the force through time and capture the essence of the Seeker at the moment of death. Mir provided the details of location and time, something Teregun never asked him about. It worked but a piece of the Seeker was destroyed in the process and a shard of his soul was ripped off and replaced by something else, something neither Teregun nor Mir could explain. It made the Seeker appear from a blue mist, and this strange mist would on occasion envelop his fingers during anger or duress and his entire body at times of crisis. This earned Teregun the title Mistbringer. It was an important step that would ensure the order endured until the time of the third Crusade, when they indeed were needed again, and the Seeker offered great help in achieving this.
The Third Crusade was another marked by war and desperation for not only the Ordo but the Galaxy. Dark forces once again clashed with those of the light and large parts of the galaxy were cast into turmoil. Mir was the one to engage this Crusade, having watched from his special ship how the world was changing. He summoned Teregun early this time but gave him few instructions. Teregun knew his duty, it had never changed and remained eternal. He did very little during the third Crusade, there was not much for him to do as the threat to the order was minimal during the time. They were playing a very difficult game, fighting both Jedi and dark Jedi alike, having received instructions that the Jedi must not be allowed to completely destroy these dark side users, they would be needed in the future and so Teregun mostly watched, helping when needed either with an assault or extraction of Templars, but it was to him a quiet and simple time, a time he cherished. He still welcomed his slumber when then time came, a relief from his long agony.
The fourth Crusade was short and chaotic for Teregun. He was awoken by Mir and was surprised to find his old friend changed. Mir was twisted and old, affected by his life outside time and space, venturing through different universes parallel to the one Teregun knew. Mir was also worried; he was explaining to Teregun about something going wrong and his attempt to fix it. The Seeker from the fifthCrusade would be sent to Teregun and together they must stop the Twins whom had initiated the fourth Crusade. Teregun was not able to make much sense of what he was told but did not question his old friend and did as he was asked. He learned that the descendants of the order, the real order were not directly involved in this Crusade, they were scattered, and the traditions of the order mostly forgotten. Even so what remained critically important to Mir was that Teregun go to Dosuun and make contact with the Duunas. It was also here he would meet the Seeker of the fifth, and together they would bring down the Twins, the false pillars who bore the emblems of the order.
Teregun did find the Seeker in the location given to him at the exact moment he was told, and together they did stop the Twins from taking Dosuun, ending the fourth Crusade. He did not remain long after the end of the Fourth and went back to his slumber when he was sure the Twins were dead, and he saw the false order slowly decline to nothing. His slumber was short however and he was soon awoken again.
After the formation of the fifth Crusade, Teregun was awoken by Mir and he was informed that the last chance for the order to be whole again had come. This would be the most difficult age for Teregun, Mir told him. He would have to protect these new Templars who had taken up the banners after the false Pillars of the fourth, and with Teregun’s help Mir believed everything could be put right again. Teregun is now with the Templars of the fifth, trying to get his bearings still and helping the new Pillars understand who they are.

Human Male
Education
Teregun received the normal schooling most young would on Tython. After that he received specialized training in swordsmanship and the study of the force. He always had a deep connection to the force, and the Dark side in particular with a unique ability of not being completely corrupted by it. He was able to use it and meditate in it without losing himself. This allowed him to train with it for years developing his abilities and perfecting his favorite affinity with pyrokinesis and the art of fire.
He has over all his lifetimes and years been able to continuously develop his abilities and after the loss of his corporeal chains he was able to reach a much deeper understanding of the force, allowing him to continue to study it from a new perspective for millennia.
Employment
Teregun was originally employed by the Je'daii as a guard and peacekeeper. He was a teacher in many ways for the young who went to study at the Anil Kesh temple and a guide in the force.
After the force Wars his complete loyalty has been to the Ordo Templaris where he has served since the formation in 10660 TYA.
Failures & Embarrassments
The breaking of Xeph Idiru the first Seeker when bringing him to the second Crusade is a failure that is haunting Teregun to this day. He feels responsible for the unexplained affliction that has plagued every seeker since the time of the breaking and wish for nothing more than to understand it and find a way to mend it.
Mental Trauma
The loss of his brother when he was 15 left a scar that never really healed but was an important piece in forming him to the man he is today.
When he sacrificed his corporeal body to become the Eternal Flame the stress put on his spirit nearly broke and killed him, leaving a mark that won’t go away. It has made him more connected to the dark side of the force and with the connection comes a deep-rooted underlying anger that makes him more indifferent to death and taking lives. It has also made him convinced that he is a tool of destruction and nothing more, a mental barrier that he would have to break in order to see that he can in fact also be constructive. Yet he remains convinced he will only bring ruin and that is how he lives his life, always suggesting the most destructive path which to him is a safe and familiar path to take.
After the death of Mir, his oldest and for a very long time only friend he has sunk into a very well hidden depression. There are many things he wishes he could have changed, and many things he believes he could have done to help Mir when he was still alive. He does take some comfort in believing Mir has ascended to something beyond, but he cannot escape the terrifying feeling of loneliness that has now washed over him for the first time in his life. Surrounded by people on Dosuun he still feels utterly alone and lost for the first time and it scares him. He is unsure what the future hold for him now, and fears that his next slumber may be eternal if there is no one there to wake him again.
Intellectual Characteristics
Teregun is a rather quiet person. He prefers to assess a situation and gather as much facts as possible. He will treat anything he does not know or understand as either hostile or dangerous. He is however a very smart and wise man, having experienced so much during his long life he is more than happy to share his information and is not secretive, but will not offer anything up if he is not asked.
Morality & Philosophy
Balance and the protection of the order means everything to Teregun. He is willing to go to any lengths to achieve those goals. He still holds firm with the original beliefs of the Ordo and lives his life close to what he always has. There is a small part of him the still clings on to the old beliefs of the Je'daii, but he is saddened by what the Jedi order has become today. He does not believe in deception and prefer a straightforward honest approach to things.
When he is unsure about something, and cannot verify if something might endanger the order or not he will resort to hostile action and extreme measure if need be, even to the point of killing members of the order if that would ensure the continuation of the Ordo as a whole.
Taboos
Teregun does not like to talk about the breaking of the Seeker, and his title "Mistbringer". It is a subject he will avoid and refuse to talk about to almost everyone. He does not like to talk about his relationship with Mir either, not after his death but can be persuaded to share something by someone he trusts.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
The hope to one day see the Jedi and Sith reunited and the galaxy in balance is something that drives Teregun. He also wishes to make the Ordo whole again, even more so after Mir’s death remembering some of the last words he said to Teregun. A part of him wants everything to return to the state it was in before the Force Wars created the vast breach between the Je’daii that would eventually cascade and develop into the horrible wars of the near past and present. He would like to take one last form, have a calm life and then fade to nothing like everyone else. He hopes a day will come when he can finally end it all and receive his final and eternal relief.
Likes & Dislikes
He likes honor and honesty. The art of deception is something he does not care for. He has a weak spot for intelligent blondes and has always been fascinated by small critters. He likes the small animals that do no harm and just live in harmony with the large world around them. He does not like space travel much, it makes him uneasy to be locked in a box in space, despite the fact that he cannot be harmed should something go wrong there is something about the void that is space that he does not like. It is too similar to the empty void he was first tossed into when he became what he is today.
Virtues & Personality perks
He will sacrifice anything to help Templars in need, or innocents affected by the Ordo. His moral code makes him extremely reliable and trustworthy. He will share his knowledge freely and only wants to help further the Ordo however he can.
Vices & Personality flaws
He is destructive and will only see the negative sides of something unknown. Although he shares his information freely, he is not forthcoming with it, and will only reply to what is asked of him not offering much of himself. He is not a social character and try to avoid normal pleasantries if he can. He can be rude at times because of his direct and honest behavior.
Personality Quirks
He will conjure and absentmindedly play with a ball of fire when he is in deep thought about something or meditating.
Hygiene
Hygiene is a secondary concern to Teregun. When he is able and things are quiet, he keeps a decent regular schedule, but if he suspects anything could happen, he will not think about his hygiene. With his body only being a shell, things like dental health is of no concern to him and he therefor often forgets the little details that are involved in taking care of the body.
Social
Contacts & Relations
Being the Flame of the Ordo Teregun has met many people throughout history but has kept very few bonds or contacts. He lives in the present and does not worry about forming a network of contacts for the future because he knows at some point, he will return to his slumber and such efforts would be wasted. He does have an adoptive daughter Artemis whom he is aware of still being alive. There are many Templars that can trace their lineage back to Teregun but he himself has no interest in that and does not know who his descendants might be with the exception of the Daughters of the Mistbringer
Family Ties
Teregun has had several wives throughout the years and many children but has no contact or even concept of where or who any of them might be. The exceptions being the Daughters of the Mistbringer, their leader always being a direct descendant although he feels no ties to them. He does have an adoptive daughter with whom he does share a bond and whom he does care for. She is still alive, and he has tried to watch over her from afar but does not know where she currently is.
Social Aptitude
Direct and at times rude. He does not like to be social it is not something done out of pleasure for him but necessity. He would much rather avoid it altogether but when he does speak to someone it is very direct and at times patronizing. He often forgets that not everyone has the same knowledge as him which often frustrates those he interacts with.
Mannerisms
Teregun tends to remain very still when he talks. He has a very stable demeanor and does not speak with his hands. He is very much straight to the point but will tilt his head on occasion when confused or pondering about something that has surprised him.
Hobbies & Pets
Teregun has no pets and no hobbies. He would like to have a pet one day, but that is a dream for another life, a final life.
Speech
Teregun has a very clear, deep voice with a hint of an edge. His native Templar is evident when he speaks as he rolls his R's and has very pronounced vowels. He can change to many dialects but must focus when doing so as it does not come natural to him.
Relationships
Wealth & Financial state
Teregun has no wealth and never has. Money and items have never been something that he neither needs to think about nor wishes for. The materialistic is something he forgot about a long time ago, and now what he uses is just provided by the Ordo. Food and shelter are enough for him.
