Daughters of the Mistbringer
Daughters of the Mistbringer was founded during the third Crusade . The Flame had a wife for a period during this era and together they had three daughters. Alea Yarr, Tana Yarr and Helena Yarr they became the founders of the Daughters, taking the name Mistbringer from one of their fathers more famous and mythical titles. The Daughters were not directly under the Ordo Templaris but served alongside them as caretakers. Functioning almost like a convent they helped with logistics, providing shelter when needed and most importantly messengers for the Ordo and for the Architect. They have remained a small but active group from the founding in 29,545 TYA to the present day.
Structure
All are equal in the Daughters, although there has been an unspoken rule that the direct descendants of the original daughters of Teregun leads the sisterhood.
History
The daughters of Teregun of the third Crusade grew up in a time of war and struggle. They learned medicine and herbalism from their mother and stealth from their father. They saw a need in the Ordo, a need for shelter and aid in the far reaches of the galaxy. The Ordo operated like a military machine, and could not spare resources to save single Templars or set up safehouses for small groups. There was also a need for free movement and reliable communications that could not be sent using conventional methods in fear of interception. Applying their skills and gathering more women with similar skills they founded the Daughters of the Mistbringer. The group was exclusive to women and they wore no official uniforms making them undetectable and outside suspicion for enemies. Spreading out these women were able to set up small safehouses for Templars operating in every corner of the Galaxy. Their skillsets also allowed for very few Daughters to care for a larger amount of Templars in need and often operated cantinas or lodging as a cover. Training in the art of deception and infiltration allowed for them to function as spies and messengers when the Ordo needed them. The Architect quickly noticed the sisterhood and made contact with them through Teregun. He was humbled by their selfless sacrifice to the Ordo and wanted them to work directly with him to even better utilize their abilities. One of their most important tasks became to maintain the Ordo and its teachings during the periods between Crusades, ensuring that the Ordo would survive to the next age. They have always been a rather small group; larger numbers would make them easier to detect. Some sisters have in periods been put in stasis between Crusades, the direct descendants of Teregun in particular, to ensure their safety and continued bloodline.
