Að-Pörhüd
Að-Pörhüd was the general of the army of the city of Lómóhüd during the First Varhoŋïan War of 24976 AYM. Alongside the other generals of the Varonian Trade Coalition, he would fight against the Maðúšýï Tribe during the First Phase of the War. Crucially, he suffered a grave wound in the Battle of Vërðïm-Ŋüž, and in the ensuing retreat, the aged and wounded Að-Pörhüd was ceremonially killed as he neared Lómóhüd.
Biography
Living in the Ïlýrhonid Tribe (25061 - 25026/25)
Of all the generals and military leaders in the battlefield, Að-Pörhüd was by far the oldest, even older than Úvremk. He was born in the Ïlýrhonid Tribe as part of the Tómošek Family; his name most likely originated as 'Að-Pör-Hüd', as befit the tripartite naming structure. Að itself would be the shortened name of an ancestor (although the exact details of these ancestors has now been lost to time), Pör would be a shortened name of the caretaker who had named Að-Pörhüd, and Hüd itself was a phoneme denoting fortitude and strength, which was likely what the caretaker wanted to bestow upon him. This would befit the times of his birth; in 25061, the Ïlýrhonid tribe was in a state of cultural flux as the second wave of the Žötó-Žimiara swept across it, and the destructive nature of the natural disasters that had occurred some 20-50 years ago were still in recent memory.
Emigration to the Hýyó-Wýðúr (25025 - 25020 AYM)
Að-Pörhüd was likely disillusioned by both the physical and cultural upheavals that further leveled the tribe from 25050 to 25025 AYM. By the time of the Wýðúric Expedition, this disillusionment would have been great enough to push Að-Pörhüd to leave the tribe, as part of one of the two major emigration waves that immediately succeeded the Wýðúric and Khýnýšic Expeditions. This would land him in the Hýyó-Wýðúr, which was experiencing a cultural shift as well. Specifically, the Ïlýrhonidian Question, or Púlö-Ïlýrhonid, caused the populations to shift dramatically, such that each city became home to a select few groups united by some cultural or ideological principle. It is not known whether Að-Pörhüd migrated or merely stayed in place, but by the end of this shifting movement around 25022-21 AYM, he would almost certainly be situated in Lómóhüd itself.
Life in Lómóhüd (25020 - 24977 AYM)
Lómóhüd's early history was quite uneventful. It was only from 25010 AYM onwards, when the Maðúšýï began their raids on the Hýyó-Wýðúr, that significant historical events exist regarding the city. From 25010 to 24997 AYM, that is, during the reigns of Ëžrü-Kaðal and Hóflë-Kúrðaš, the city would struggle against this repeated onslaught. Given Að-Pörhüd's relative unharm during this period, it is likely that he lived in a settlement close to or at the northern limits of the city, as that was the place furthest from the raid's point of contact and also the place to which the citizens would flee during a raid.
From 24997 to 24979 AYM, Ŋüðúrr, the third Öšdúu-Lómóhüd, would reign over a long period of relative peace and prosperity in the city. This was due first and foremost to the Ëvoðo-Ŋüðúrr, a societal and artistic style of living that created separate domains for the above-ground and below-ground, with the former acting as an expendable buffer zone for the more-valuable latter. Crucally, it favored adaptation over direct conflict, and during his long reign (which stretched all the way to just before the First Varhoŋïan War), no such major military force was developed.
