Ëvoðo-Ŋüðúrr

The Ëvoðo-Ŋüðúrr, often synonymous with the Nota-Ótaš-Lómóhüd, was the strategy employed by the 3rd Öšdúu-Lómóhüd, Ŋüðúrr, to curb the destructive effects of the Maðúšýïan Tribe's raids. This stretched from his ascension to the throne in 24997 AYM all the way past his death in 24979 AYM, continuing to impact Lómóhüdian strategy through the Ýmor-Maðúšýï and Ýmor-Yarmurïŋ periods.

Description

The strategy consisted of a distinct separation of ground between the 'above-ground', in essence the portions of the ground exposed to the naked eye, and the 'below-ground', the portions of ground buried deep below the above-ground. Each individual was to build two houses: one for the above-ground, and another for the below-ground. The two would be connected through secret passageways meticulously hidden from view, and each below-ground room would be further connected to other below-ground rooms through similarly secret passageways.

In any given setup, the below-ground would serve as the actual home of the individual, complete with furnishings, decorations, stored amenities, and other valuable items, while the above-ground room would serve as a decoy. As such, when a raid occurred, the Maðúšýïans would raze the above-ground houses, leaving the below-ground houses unharmed. This would result in little-to-no actual damage to the city, allowing them to rebuild within a month or two, well before the usual half-year to full-year duration required for most other cities. In the long-term, this would result in the city of Lómóhüd rising to become the strongest and most populous city in the Hýyo-Wýðúr, and the only such one to possess a near-complete set of historical records and artistic/archaeological relics dating back almost to its founding in 25026-20 AYM. Indeed, the vast majority of these below-ground rooms survive to the modern day.
