Fabricator Enclaves
These collections of guilds and merchant ventures are the backbone of day-to-day Iolar commerce. Though they rely heavily on the perilous actions of the Sovereign Fleet’s daring Captains, many take for granted how vital the men and women of the Fabricator Enclaves are to turning these marvels of salvaged technology into safe, widely distributed consumer goods, infrastructure improvements, and so on. There are numerous minor enclaves, each vying for prominence. Some hope to sponsor a particularly profitable or exceptional journey into the Gargant Reach but theirs is a statistical struggle with the bones of millions at its feet. Most of these that have the good fortune to survive the financial burden of their first sponsorship usually find that merging with one of the premier enclaves is simply the most logical next step and join these foremost organizations for their wide powerbase and benefits. Other lesser enclaves pursue innovation to the point of obsession, desperate to make a revolutionary contribution and gain fame and fortune.
The foremost conglomerates of the Fabricator Enclaves are five: Digo, Emeter, Miig, Allart, and Isk. Among them these corporations manage nearly all of the Iolar technology base from development to manufacture. All but one maintain primary holdings on Madrisa Prime; cyclopean edifices of steel, glass, rockrete, and secrecy. The outlier, Digo, holds a much grander base of operations as the sole proprietor of The X, the massive space station and void drydock system in the spinward reaches of Iolar space.
