Emeter

Emeter is an enigma in Iolar society, its influence is quite literally everywhere and yet it exercises so little overt influence many people wonder if it should qualify as a major Enclave[Fabricator Enclaves] at all. Such doubts are only ever entertained briefly as Emeter’s place at the center of all Iolar communications allows them surgical precision in redressing such thoughts. Emeter manages information technology and security in Iolar space, most notably producing the soft- and firmware that powers their wondrous noospheric communication infrastructure. While Allart is actually behind the long-range support network and external hardware of the system, and Isk produces the implant technology to allow people to connect to it, their innovations would be frustratingly useless without Emeter’s cracking of quantum flux resolution. The secrets of how and when this discovery propelled this group to prominence are shrouded in deliberate misinformation and wild speculation. For more prominent members of Iolar society, the services of Emeter are invaluable for protecting investments and secrets. Emeter has acquired a questionable reputation among the common people with a publicly attributed motto “Secrets are always three-party: You, the dead, and the Emeter.” Still, their position is unassailable in the eyes of most and with what is presumed a complete control of noospheric data transfer, it’s considered a fool’s endeavor to try and infiltrate or oppose them. There are also rumors that they run massive espionage campaigns against non-Iolar interests so that even discoveries that escape the enterprising hands of Iolar captains are never truly lost. Its current leader is assumed to be Xena Zera but as with all things related to Emeter this is taken with a large grain of salt.
