Tajj Neta

Structure

The empire is led by Emperor Lyanok the Wise and his royal court of advisors, which includes experts on a number of different affairs: economics, wartime strategy, expansion, exploitation, foreign relations, religion & heresy, culture, and defense. Each of these advisors in turn has a cabinet of trusted officers who work all across Tajj Neta and return information to the capital city Suszeng. Although this network of advisors is responsible for informing the emperor, ultimately all decisions are made unilaterally by the Emperor himself. Tajj Neta is divided into a number of states which are semi-autonomous, in that they govern themselves for the most part and have differing laws but ultimately are under the Emperor's control and pay tribute to the capital. States are subdivided into territories and estates, which are governed by local authorities. Agents of the Crown and Imperial Guards are stationed throughout the nation to ensure that order is kept and that rebellion is impossible.

Culture

Historically, Tajj Neta has been a very powerful nation, and has had a penchant for war. What began as a swath of independent city-states spanning half of the continent was eventually unified by the ancient Emperor Szeng Qalisz, who founded Tajj Neta as it is known today. The Qalisz dynasty lasted for nearly seven creation-cycles but was eventually broken when Emperor Rhal Qalisz failed to name an heir to the throne. Since the fall of the Qalisz dynasty, Tajj Neta's expansion has slowed down and it has become a much wealthier nation, profiting greatly from the export of its natural resources to far-off lands. Control of Nas Kotok Bay has been a huge asset for Tajj Neta in gaining status as a trade nation, and the nation remains heavily militarized in the event that it must be defended.   Because of these historical factors, the culture of Tajj Neta is one which values wealth and independence greatly. While the citizens remain grounded and connected to nature through their Postheistic worship, individual strength is still seen as an important trait and no respectable Tajj Netan would ever back down from a fight. Music and the arts are also highly valued in Tajj Netan society, however, and a painter or horticulturist often earns as much respect as a soldier or a gladiator. Because of this, the country is rich with beautifully crafted towns and landscapes, and many enjoy visiting Tajj Neta's bountiful and untouched nature preserves, as well as its exquisitely curated art galleries and public symphonies which are found in cities all throughout the empire.

Public Agenda

Tajj Neta wishes to expand, and take over the entirety of the continent of Natua. The Crown wishes to exploit all of its natural resources and become the wealthiest and most prosperous nation that Kōna has ever seen.

Assets

As Tajj Neta covers a vast expanse of land, its natural resources are many. The mountains yield wondrous amounts of all sorts of minerals, including iron, copper, lead, silver, gold, and mercury - to name a few. Tajj Neta also has access to the resources in the Bay of Kotok Nas, such as its fish and valuable pearls and corals. As the Empire spans such a large stretch of land, it is hard to imagine a resource that is not contained and exploited within its bounds.

History

Tajj Neta was founded in K.S.I.1 when Emperor Szeng officially united the disparate city-states of Natua under his rule. Since then, the nation has continued to expand across the continent and develop new technologies, infrastructure, and has massively increased the scope of its economy to involve nations belonging to other continents and regions of the world. As Natua is thought to be where the human race began on Kōna, it is believed that Tajj Neta has access to the most advanced technologies in the world.

Mythology & Lore

Tenets of Faith

I: No man shall kill any other man, even in defense of his own life. Slaying or maiming of another man of any sort is the worst sort of evil, and will always result in another cycling of life in the Undergrowth. A man who kills another shall, in his next cycling, live the life of an abhorrently wounded or disabled person, unable to walk or otherwise fend for himself.   II: No man shall steal from any other man, except that man who flaunts his own wealth as to taunt one with less of it. A man who steals unjustly shall, in his next cycling, live a life of poverty, surrounded by deceitful and dishonest companions.   III: No man shall flaunt his wealth over those who have less. A man who flaunts his wealth shall, in his next cycling, live a life of poverty and debt, and will never find work.   IV: No man shall disavow the names of the Creators, or of the Founders. Any man who disavows his ancestors as such shall, in his next cycling, live a lonesome life, and never wed or have children.   V: No man shall harm the nature that surrounds him, except for in the most necessary of defensive situations. Any man who desecrates or otherwise befouls nature shall, in his next cycling, be forced to live in a barren desert, or underground, such that he may never glimpse upon the flourishing beauty of the world.
