Ununanun
Ununanun is a settlement at the head of the ancient dry river of Unun. Sitting at the edges of the Fungal Blight and at the feet of the Gonnak Mountains, it overlooks the inhospitable lands of the Kyonyita Desert and serves as the southern gateway of the empire of Tajj Neta. Ununanun is not a large, bustling metropolis, but rather a mid-size city supporting as many people as it can given its harsh surroundings. Due to its position south of the Great Mountains Pass, it is relatively cut off from the rest of the empire and operates somewhat independently. Lately, the Emperor Lyanok the Wise has taken an interest in it as an outpost for the expansion of the empire into the desert, and it has seen small developments, including the establishment of a military/exploration base in the center of the city.
Demographics
Many inhabitants of Ununanun are indigenous Tanadszomo tribesman, although a significant and increasing population are made up of Arman. Generally there is harmony between these two ethnic groups, although there has been some unrest with the latest influx of Arman people into the city, with the natives fearing that the newcomers do not understand or respect their traditional ways. Nothing major has come so far of this unrest, but it does continue to grow and there are concerns from some that it may become a more pressing issue.
Government
Ununanun is governed by the empire of Tajj Neta, although it does enjoy a fair degree of autonomy as it lies at the furthest reaches of the empire's borders.
Defences
Ununanun is in a particularly vulnerable place due to its position in a valley between two large mountain ranges, although it seldom sees violence due to the locals' positive relations with the surrounding ungoverned tribes.
