Boriya is a large continent to the east of the
Aisling Ocean (which they know as the Western Sea) in the northern hemisphere of
Galath. It was the original home of the Immortal
Giants and their mortal
children, of the Giant-Kin and the Firstborn.
The climate of the continent is largely temperate, and the biome is dominated by larger stretches of
Primeval Wilderness than remain on
Erask.
The continent was once dominated by the Orthnar, divided into six great Eorldoms, and each of those into six Thegndoms, and the boundaries of these remain the foundations of many modern states. During the Era of Empires, the continent was divided into the Imperium of Borath in the west and the Grand Eorldom of Wrodh in the east. The Imperium was ruled by the Firstborn races, the Grand Eorldom by the
Jotnar, while the mountain regions belong to insular dwarf clans. After the Cataclysm, the continent was further divided into divine kingdoms, then almost united again under the Lucent Empire, before the Godswar brought an end to the God-Sovereigns.
