Hexblood

The Hexblood are a rare species of humanoids infused with eldritch magic, fey energy or mysterious witchcraft. They are rarely born naturally and are rather a mutation found in an existing species.   Hexblood have been touched by Hag magic, this can come about in many ways. The most common way is when a child is kidnapped by a Hag, and transformed by them. A person can also be voluntarily transformed into a Hexblood.   Alternatively, a Hexblood can be born to parents that have made deals with a Hag. A Hexblood can also come about when an individual is touched by dangerous fey magic and survives.   A Hexblood is a stepping stone for a person to transform into a Hag. Many Hexblood are groomed by Hags into becoming future Hags, while others resist and attempt to flee. Hexblood are most commonly found in the Feywild, but many flee into the Material Plane to escape their captors.

Appearance:

  Hexblood usually resemble their origin species but with Hag-like qualities, such as unnatural skin colours, boils and warts, magical symbols across their body, long clawed fingers and even irremovable bramble crowns.

Maturity:

  Hexblood mature at the same rate as their origin species.

Reproduction:

  Hexblood can not reproduce naturally. Instead they possess the ability to transform others into Hexbloods, especially children.
