Astral Elves

Astral Elves, sometimes called Startouched Elves, are a subspecies of Elves imbued with the magical essence of the stars. The ancestors of these Elves ventured out from the Feywild and into the Astral Plane, drawn by the ephemeral beauty of the starry heavens. Their life in the void has imbued their souls with a spark of divine light which manifests throughout an Elf’s entire being.   Astral Elves have no cultural roots in Exorsia   Because of the nature of the Astral Plane, Astral Elves have been recorded to far exceed the ages of Elves on Exorsia, with many being thousands of years old. This longevity gives them an even more unusual perspective on time than other Elves. Some are prone to melancholy, while others display an absence of feeling. Many look for creative ways to occupy themselves. Whether they choose to live in quiet contemplation or strike out to explore the reaches of the infinite starry sea, they tend to see things through the lens of time as having little or no meaning to them.   Astral elves are closely associated with a sacred fabric known as “Star Silk”, a soft thin fabric that contains accents reminiscent of constellations, planetary orbits, and other celestial phenomena, similar to the Elves' skin. Its creation is a closely guarded secret.

Appearance:

  An Astral Elf’s skin is slightly transparent, revealing tiny specks of light across their form, like freckles, resembling stars. This stary transparency can also be found in the Elves' hair. Like all other Elf species, Astral Elves do not have body hair and can not grow facial hair.   Astral Elves are also notable for having beautiful elaborate horns that grow from their head; these horns can range from a singular central horn or as two symmetrical horns. These horns are commonly adorned with jewellery.   Complexion: Astral Elf skin tones range from a pale gray to a dark blue complexion.   Hair: Astral Elf hair ranges from white, gray and black to blue and purple.   Eyes: Astral Elves tend to have Silver, Blue, Purple or Black coloured eyes.
