Dragon Lords of Soliemia
The Dragon Lords are the territorial rulers of Soliemia, presiding over the Abakan Jungles, the Ember Sands, the Nkabi Wilds and the Umfula Plains. The alliance is believed to have been founded soon after the end of the The Dragon-Elf War of the Silver Age.
Citizens of the Dragon Lords are almost exclusively Dragons, specifically the broods of the Dragon Lords themselves, with subjects of other species being a rarity. After multiple territorial disputes and food shortages, at some point during the late Bronze Age and the early Age of Arcanum, the Dragon Lords agreed to limit their population numbers to around 100 dragons per brood. The current dragon population affiliated with the Dragon Lords is unknown, but around 400 is the accepted estimate.
The Dragon Lords do not have a unified culture or traditions, with each brood having their own customs.
The Dragon Lords are a group of four ancient dragons that each rule a different region of Soliemia, but don’t claim sovereignty over the population. While the Dragon Lords have an alliance, they mostly act independently from each other, staying in their own territories.
The Dragon Lords don’t have an official government and dabble very little in local politics, mostly content with acting as they wish while mostly leaving the other peoples of Soliemia to their business.
The Dragon Lords rarely make physical appearances, and commonly reside within their lairs. When a Dragon Lord wishes to conduct any business they will usually send one of the brood to represent them.
Settlements located within the territory of the Dragon Lords land are free to govern themselves as they see fit, with many acting as independent City States.
The Dragon Lords do not have an official military force, but many of the Dragon Lords brood are subservient to them and will fight on their behalf.
The Dragon Lords do not worship any Divinity or follow any Religion. Rather the Dragon Lords themselves are sometimes the subject of worship.
The broods of the Dragon Lords seem to have a social hierarchy primarily structured around age, with the older Dragons often found in positions of power and having a more prominent social standing.
Each brood also values different attributes which affect their social standing, with the brood of Góhl’Terra valuing craftsmanship, the brood of Tempestra valuing beauty, the brood of Nerósa valuing knowledge and intelligence, and the brood of Sol Ignus valuing strength and wealth.
The Dragon Lords do not have an official legal system or laws. If the Dragon Lords want something they will demand it, on the threat of destruction, though this is very uncommon.
