The Dragon-Elf War
Early on during the Silver Age, the two elder peoples of Elves and Dragons, set about claiming and colonising the lands of Exorsia, coming into repeated conflict with each other. What began as small skirmishes for territory soon blazed into a war for control over the world.
A bloody war raged all across Exorsia, primarily between the fair Elves and the majestic Dragons, whose battles were the most devastating. The war raged on and off for over six thousand years, Exorsia was set ablaze as battle threatened to bring about the end of all life.
But in secret, it was Tiamat, the Scaled Tyrant, who had stirred up the conflict, lending aid to her draconic children, with the goal to claim Exorsia for herself.
Upon realising Tiamat's betrayal, the Gods sent Bahamut to confront his sister and plead for her surrender. But Tiamat would not listen to reason, and along with her children, she turned on Bahamut, and they did battle across the land.
In the chaos and destruction the Divine Dragons left in their wake, many Elves and Dragons, seeing the end of their world, put their differences aside and joined the side of Good, aiding Bahamut against the Tyranny of Tiamat and her brood of Evil Dragons.
In a climactic battle, Tiamat was defeated by an alliance of Dragon, Dwarf and Elf, and the war for Exorsia came to a close. For her crimes, the Gods imprisoned Tiamat within the layer of Avernus, where she remains to this day.
But tensions were still unresolved between the Mortal and Dragon peoples, so they came to an agreement, Exorsia would be split in two, so that no war of this scale would be repeated. The Dragons claimed the lands to the West and the Mortal species claimed the lands to the East, and so there was at last peace.
