Nerósa - Voice of the Sea

Nerósa is one of the four Dragon Lords of Soliemia. She rules over the region of the Abakan Jungles, reigning from the subterranean Lake Nerósa, located beneath the city of Orisima. 

Nerósa is an ancient being, said to have been born prior to the Dragon-Elf War of the Silver Age. Ancient legends tell that it was during the war that Nerósa ascended to become an Archdragon. Though how, and why four Archdragons were created around the same time, is unknown. Some have speculated that Lake Nerósa once contained a doorway to the Elemental Plane of Water, which was used during the Dragon-Elf War to empower Nerósa, transforming her into an Archdragon. This would go to explain why the four Archdragons of Soliemia, match the elements of the Elemental Planes. 

Nerósa is said to be a wise and intelligent Dragon, a guide to mortals and the people of Orisima. She is said to be a great lover of literature and a collector of art and books. Her lair is said to be incredibly hospitable, with areas set up to read and converse. While Nerósa has not been seen outside of her lair for many millennia, is said to receive many guests who come for advice or to entertain Nerósa with their tales. 

Nerósa’s draconic brood serves her interests across Soliemia, and within the Senate of Orisima. Nerósa’s brood of Sea Dragons are some of the most friendly Dragons on Exorsia. They are said to be happy to converse with travelers, as well as give advice, there are also many records of them protecting ships from Pirates and Sea Monsters in the waters south of Soliemia.

Nerósa is also a close ally of the Republic of Orisima, she happily delegates leadership to the Democratic Senate of Orisima. While she is often consulted on important matters, Nerósa rarely dabbles directly in politics. But she does have a representative present within the Senate who listens to the proceedings and reports back to her mother.

Appearance

Nerósa is a gargantuan serpentine drake with small legs, a coat of light blue scales, and a yellow fin running down her back matching her mane of white fur.

Nerósa is sometimes said to take the shape of an elderly and plump, dark skinned woman with braids of gray hair and elven features. She is often described as wearing beautiful blue dresses, decorated with shells and sea glass jewelry.
