Milaba Alliance
The Milaba Alliance, sometimes called the Milaba Trade Network, or the Nkabi Alliance, is an alliance between the independent cities of the Nkabi Wilds, Soliemia. The Milaba Accord was signed in 1484 AF, between the cities of Dakro, Fakasso, Kalaran, Talinga and Zossé. The primary clause of the alliance was the agreement for the free cities to share the city of Milaba, which is at the centre of the region, and the centre of the northern trade network. For a few hundred years since Soliemia was settled, Milaba was a site of constant conflict and wars, changing hands between the independent cities every few years, interrupting trade. But for the last 600 years, the city of Milaba has been peacefully governed by a council of five appointed representatives from those five major settlements, becoming a booming trade centre.
The Milaba Accords also dictate many trade regulations, which have been changed over the years, and require the independent cities to help each other in times of crisis or war. The Milaba Alliance has come close to ending multiple times of the centuries, sometimes because of external pressure, but the risk of loss of profits has kept the peace so far.
Outside of the Miulaba Accords, the cities within the Milaba Alliance act independently from each other, and have separate governments, laws and cultures.
The Milaba Alliance has a good relationship with the neighbouring political powers, supplying much of Soliemia, and the world, with valued trade.
