Juro Imeryios

Juro Imeryios is a member of the General Strategic Committee of the SEK-ESK. Together with the rest of the committee, he is tasked with providing a strategic framework for the Confederal Militias. After spending more than a decade as an elected officer within the Workers and Peasants Alliance of the Prostian United Front, Juro has returned to the Republic of Kaisa to fight for the revolution in his home.

Biography

Juro Imeryios was born the eldest daughter of a noble family in Kaisa. Despite the aristocratic title however, his family had very little money or property besides a small plot of land in northwestern Kaisa. He grew up tending to livestock and taking care of his younger siblings, not unlike many peasant children. His family was able to send him to get an education in an all-girls boarding school in Chypos. While there, he became involved in the Protoporia artistic and philosophical movement, where he met a number of libertarians and other radicals. In this period, he chose the name Juro and began presenting as a man.   When the Kaisan Revolution of 1333 began, Juro was seventeen. He became involved in the strike committees of Chypos, marching with the striking workers and putting his artistic skills to work creating propaganda. The strikes in Chypos were quickly crushed by the Etnofroura, and many of his friends and comrades were killed or imprisoned. Rather than abandon the struggle, Juro fled to Blelofos. The workers of Blelofos had just kicked the Etnofroura and Kaisan Army out of the city, declaring support for the Kaisadroupolis Commune. As soon as he arrived, Juro joined the citizen militias. He was discouraged by the lack of preparation, organization, and expertise within the militias but chose to stay and fight nonetheless.   The Blelofos Commune put up a fight, but the ill-equipped and organized militias were no match for the Kaisan Army. Once more Juro was forced to flee, this time to the nation of Campeni , where the Prostian United Front was just beginning its struggle. He and many Kaisan radicals fleeing repression fell in with the Workers and Peasants Alliance (EPES). Those who wanted to fight, including Juro, formed the Ekori Falanga.   Because of his education, which many of his comrades lacked, Juro found himself performing many of the administrative tasks within his group. He was elected as the officer of his group when he was twenty. After proving himself to have a head for strategy, he became more and more involved in decision-making assemblies. Eventually, he was elected to the strategic committee for the Ekori Falanga. At thirty, he was assigned as the column leader. Juro maintained contact with radicals in Kaisa, particularly the SEK, waiting for the moment to be right to return.   In 1350, when the Daffodil Revolution began, nearly every member of the unit agreed to join the struggle in Kaisa. They were given full support by the EPES, hoping that the spread of revolution in Kaisa would provide them an advantage. Thus, Juro Imeryios and the Ekori Falanga slipped into Kaisa, armed and laden with all the equipment and supplies that they could carry with them. Juro himself, as a result of being one of the few members of the SEK with extensive experience waging war, quickly found himself appointed to the General Strategic Committee.
