Kingdom of Campeni

The Kingdom of Campeni is a unitary monarchy in west-central Jideran. It draws origins as a nation from both the tribal kingdoms that were integrated into the Jiderani Empire, as well as conquering nomads from the region now known as Nusrozemi. The current monarch has a lineage extending back to those conquering tribes. During the Wellspring of Nations, the monarch of Campeni became the monarch of the Kingdom of Drün by marriage, and Drün was absorbed into Campeni. During the Wellspring of Nations, a series of small regional wars resulted in the creation of the modern borders of Campeni. After the Red Week, economic collapse and political corruption led to the Prostian Revolution, where a broad alliance of radical parties and organizations formed against the Campeni monarchy, starting a civil war that has split the country in two. North of the Kandto River, the United Front attempts to resolve its internal differences and prepare to take the rest of Campeni. South of the river, forces loyal to the monarchy entrench themselves and hope that the United Front will collapse before they lose control entirely.
