Suspended Bubbles
Suspended Bubbles are a Merian technology theorized and later expanded upon in the Kingdom of Meria as a way for transport and longevity to be established. In short, the technology begets a way to capture and make bubbles semi-permanent and able to be used within transport vehicles and other such formations. Unintentionally from it's conception, the suspended bubbles have also been adapted to assist with mixed-species families settlements and allowing for other types of residences other than the half-underwater home.
Utility
Suspended Bubbles are used both as a way to keep valuables and perishables that might need to be kept away from water able to be stored. This encompasses food, materials, and key items that may even be volatile or deadly when exposed to water. It can even be applied to living quarters within houses and residences to let oxygen-breathing species and merfolk live together in one house or residence.
Social Impact
Suspended Bubbles was discovered during the Mercian technological boom, as a part of the revolution started by the Sereneties and encompassing the Mercian Fortification technologies. Originally they were made as a way to provide quicker and more easier transport of items as well as ways to keep certain materials protected for longer, but the Bubbles actually helped alot of mixed-species families and led to a new type of mixed-used residences that could hold not only Merfolk residents but also residents of other races / oxygen breathing races.
Widespread Access across the Merian Sea especially within Merfolk settlements and Merian towns.
