Mercian Fortification
Mercian Fortification is a set of stabilising and restorative technologies established within the architecture and infrastructure of Mercia to help it withstand the brunt force of the unpredictability of the Merian Sea and it's seasonal torrents.
Within the Mercian cultural and industrial revolution the people of Mercia chose to turn their gaze away from a religion that proved not to fix their problems and instead fix their problems themselves. Within a great surge of interest and activity in learning and experimentation on the acts of stabilising the existing architecture of Mercia against the destructive forces of the Merian Sea and the seasonal erosion that followed the great winter turbulence each year.
The Mercian Fortification advancements can be traced back to the Guilds of Architecture and Infrastructure within the city of Mercia and the work of multiple people within the Sereneties movement pushing for a brighter future and a self-sustaining future for all Merfolk that inhabit the waters of Namdia.
Utility
Mercian Fortification has been used amongst the city of Mercia specifically in the framing of stabilising and supporting existing structures within the city. It is not a singular technology but a set of principles and utilities that can be applied to the existing infrastructure and taught to the people of Mercia.
