Elemental Chaos
The Elemental Chaos is a vast, churning expanse of raw, untamed elemental energy—a primordial cauldron where the fundamental forces of creation collide, blend, and wage eternal war. It exists beyond and beneath the individual Elemental Planes, forming the ever-shifting foundation from which those planes arise. In this realm, fire, water, air, and earth do not coexist peacefully—they clash, spiral, and intermingle in violent and unpredictable ways.
There is no order, stability, or consistent geography in the Elemental Chaos. A traveler might soar through a storm of living fire only to be hurled into a torrent of stone shards rising from a molten ocean, or swept into a sky of steam where floating rivers crash into mountains made of glass. Regions form and dissolve without warning. Lava flows twist into ice, clouds of acid birth forests of crystal, and winds tear apart islands that didn’t exist moments before.
The plane defies conventional rules of space and time. Gravity shifts arbitrarily, cause and effect can feel distorted, and even the elements themselves can behave in unnatural ways. Here, the elements are not passive building blocks—they are active forces of will and motion, chaotic and alive in a sense unique to this realm.
The Elemental Chaos embodies creation before order, the storm before form, the furious energy that existed before the cosmos was shaped into structure. It is the crucible of potential, where substance and energy have not yet resolved into permanence. To enter it is to step into the roiling heart of the multiverse’s primal energy—a place of danger, wonder, and endless change.
