Priochtheira

Priochtheira, the ancient land, is the expanse of land south of the Black Peaks, from the borders of Acrantheia in the West to the borders of Mantua near the slopes of Mount Magth in the East, and as far south as the dense tropical jungle below Epilytaemiston.  It is a region of mighty rivers and sweeping plains, rolling hills and impressive mountains.     Priochtheira is the homeland of many dwarven holds and elven realms, who are said to have settled the area soon after the Great Sundering and defended it against all dangers for millennia.  Small human communities have sprung up in some locations, but are confined to the border regions of the settled ares.  Most of the holds and realms fell under the dominion of the Taorminite empire during the Seventh Cycle.   Due to a trick of geography, a constant cool stream of air comes from the North-West of Casiphon, past the Hundervorne Mountains and Black Peaks.  This makes the climate much less tropical that might be expected by the location of the region.   Dwarven holds:   Elven realms:
