Arasaka

Once the peak of adventure and fantasy, Arasaka was a continent of adventurers, treasure hunters, warring nations, and vibrant kingdoms. Every race and profession could be found here, from humble farmers to legendary kings, from wandering monster hunters to powerful mages. That changed 200 years ago when Demon Lord Krane emerged from the underworld to seize control. Arriving weakened and with only three commanders at his side, Krane slowly regained his power, building influence in the shadows until his full demonic strength returned. His conquest began systematically: The Denboldir Kingdom fell first under Demon Commander Fraxus and his demonic pacts, Roshiaca was crushed by the brute force of Demon Commander Boonmaw, The Caspary Empire was manipulated into submission by Demon Commander Missandria, and Kleubraizia was toppled through tactics and vengence as Demon Commander Sralios, its long-dead king, was resurrected to exact revenge on his homeland.   Now Arasaka exists under Krane’s Eternal Eclipse, a sunless realm where demons rule openly, their presence woven into every town, mine, and farm. Non-demons live harsh but strangely unified lives, as goblins, humans, undead, and beastfolk are forced to cooperate for survival. The land, once lush and diverse, has become muted and grim, rivers drying and skies perpetually darkened so Krane’s vampire legions can roam freely. Despite the despair, life persists, and even under Krane’s dominion, whispers of defiance remain. Trade with other continents has resumed under Krane’s assurances of non-expansion, but adventurers now come seeking something far rarer than gold: hope.

Geography

Arasaka is primarily rolling hills and plains with fertile soil long diminished by demonic influence. To the north lies the Blainbour Mountain Range and the Iron Fir Forest, where Krane’s fortress looms. Numerous lakes dot the continent, though many rivers have dried under the Eternal Eclipse.

Ecosystem

Before Krane, Arasaka held vibrant forests, wetlands, and savannas. Now ecosystems are warped; forests thin into skeletal groves, and lakes shimmer with faint necrotic energy. Pockets of untouched wilderness remain in Roshiaca’s wildlands and Kleubraizia’s spires, but they are fiercely controlled.

Ecosystem Cycles

Natural rhythms have fractured. Crops grow slower under the dim skies, animal migrations have shifted, and demonic corruption mutates native species. The Eternal Eclipse has ended seasonal change, locking Arasaka in perpetual twilight.

Localized Phenomena

The Eternal Eclipse dominates the land, suppressing sunlight but amplifying ambient magical energy. In the Denboldir Kingdom, iron veins hum with faint infernal energy, while Roshiaca’s beasts grow unnaturally strong, seemingly resisting demonic control.

Climate

Once temperate and varied, the continent now feels stagnant. Warmth lingers unnaturally in the deserts of Kleubraizia, while the Denboldir Kingdom mountains grow harsher each year, their storms carrying strange, ashen snow.

Fauna & Flora

Fauna has adapted or perished. Beasts in Roshiaca grow more feral yet intelligent, while demonic hybrids stalk the plains. Flora mirrors the decay: pale crops in Caspary, blackened trees in Denboldir, and sand-buried oases in Kleubraizia.

Natural Resources

Despite its corruption, Arasaka remains rich. Denboldir’s iron and silver feed Krane’s armies, Kleubraizia’s spices and arcane sands power rituals, Roshiaca’s enchanted fauna are harvested for components, and Caspary’s vast lumber and minerals sustain construction.

History

Once divided among kingdoms and empires, Arasaka’s golden age ended with Krane’s conquest 200 years ago. His four commanders cemented control, turning each nation into an extension of his will. Other continents, Nineveh, Baephios, and Hugo City, allowed Krane’s reign to stabilize in exchange for continued trade.

Tourism

Tourism is dangerous but not nonexistent. Scholars and adventurers arrive seeking ruins, demonic bargains, or forbidden magic. Most never return, though Krane tolerates visitors to project “legitimacy” to the outside world.
