Rimsbury

Archivist's Excerpt from: Alone in the Cold: The Story of Orphan Towne, its Strange History, & its Stranger Occupants, CVI 42.4

Where Edgemeadow contains the many estates and manors and overlooks of Orphan's more upscale residents, Rimsbury neighbors it with its fabulous Agromatic Gardens and homes of many of Orphan's middle class.

Rimsbury, in its youth, was highly contested as being a place of needless wasted space in a town where space would be an extreme commodity. The long-term sanity of the populous was taken into account, however, and it was actually a number of Scholars of Aesthetics of the Grand Colonial Academy of Science who convinced Parliament that, if Orphan was to be the Ark of humanity's future on a flood of wasteland time, the human soul ought not be starved its primary nourishment: beauty. Parliament agreed. Not long after, the Department of Aesthetics was shut down.

Demographics

Rimsbury is home to many of Orphan Towne's middle-to-upper class residents, though there are scattered Barons with large family estates even here.
