Souseiki Civilian Tech

Souseiki Tech generally remains expensive and cost inefficient for most things, which is why its uses are more geared towards industry and military. However, Souseiki tech has been able to become used by common people to an uneven degree; depending on their economic development of their home region, social and wealth class, and urban or rural divide.

Souseiki Illumination works by using Light Magic and highly efficient sigils to create a source of light. Cheap sources of illumination are mainly for desk lights or basic outdoor lamps, while more expensive versions can light entire rooms or buildings. As the only other option for artificial lighting are mainly candles, many utilize Souseiki Illumination as a cheaper long term cost, for those who need longer working hours past daylight.

Souseiki Stoves and Ovens are cooking devices which use Fire Magic. While generally still costly, a cooking device powered by advanced fire magic which doesn’t produce a flame can be safer than wood stoves. Although mostly adopted by the urban poor due to lack of cheap firewood, and the readily available mages in most cities. Among the middle and upper classes though, Fire magic stoves are favored, with finely controlled heat, and lack of any smoke or most fire danger. There have also been attempts by some governments to force the replacement of coal fires due to the health negatives from coal smoke, but coal stoves remain a cheap option for the dirt urban poor.

Water Magic Plumbing has emerged slowly with new constructions, but by using water magic to move water through metal pipes, various functions can be supplied; sanitation, safe drinking water with magic purification, and more.

Water Magic Clothes Cleaning Machines are favored by many of the busy urban craftsmen, for its ability to wash clothes automatically, removing dirt and oil, usually with non magic soap to help. Businesses in urban environments may offer the use to the poor for a cheap fee. Dry Cleaning can be achieved by using Wind Magic to remove dust and other debris.

Temperature Control: depending on the environment the use of fire magic and or ice magic to bring the indoors to a livable temperature have seen widespread usage among the middle classes, though with a leaning towards heat being more widely adopted. Still most places use traditional methods to heat and cool.

Light magic powered cameras utilize light magic to inscribe an image of light absorbed onto a thin sheet of special paper, for preservation. While some households have personal cameras, most utilize services available for photos.

Consumer Souseiki Communicators which use Lighting Magic to create short range communications are generally fairly expensive, and lack some use without a semi network. Although they’ve seen some adoption by wealthy individuals in urban environments, and by urban organizations which have multiple locations within close range.

Wood Magic Preservers: the use of wood magic to slow down the decay of food items with magic, usually in the form of a container which preserves anything within as well keeping it fresh. Generally fairly expensive and unnecessary for most when freezing storage with Ice magic exists as affordable for many. But the wood magic can preserve the origional flavor much better then freezing can.

A variety of machines exist for the purposes of agriculture but are generally only affordable to large landowners and corporations. Where smaller landowners and Independent farmers may at best rent such machines. Souseiki Agriculture machines utilize wood magic to accelerate the growth rate of crops, and process the harvest by removing low quality, but generally crops are still processed by hand. Fields and gardens are able to be supplied water automatically using water magic irrigation, useful for ensuring better harvest amounts, and to counter droughts.

The Medical Sector has largely been overtaken by Souseiki Tech with various devices and machines used in facilitating healing. Water and Fire Magic to control and prevent bleeding. Wood Magic machines to treat more complex conditions and diseases. Wind Magic to provide oxygen to patients. Etc. More advanced is the use of metal and wood magic to create prosthetics and implants made from Raiko which can interface with the body and mostly replace the lost function.

For the most Part construction remains using traditional means, human labor, etc, but a few Souseiki tech has been integrated. Major buildings have also integrated wind, fire, and ice magic into ventilation and temperature control systems. In a few cases, Souseiki tech is used to rapidly build depending on material: wood magic, Metal Magic, and earth magic.
