Metal Magic

Magic Overview

Metal Magic is the use of Enrai by mages to control and manipulate various metals, with more advanced users controlling more weight and quantity. In the modern day, primarily steel or iron is used due to the balance of cost and strength, but other metals may used for specific purposes.

Strengths

Due the materials used metal magic tends to very durable and strong, decent at both offensive and defensive abilities.

Weaknesses

Metal Mages are greatly limited, unable to create metal, nor use types of ore due to the mixture of non metals. In addition they are limited by what they can reasonably carry or have transported.

List of abilities

Metal magic has a wide range of abilities, with lower ranked abilities able to be used at a stronger level by high ranked mages. Metal Mages use pretty much anything for mage conduitsfor their magic as long as its made from metal.

Combat Magic

Offensive

Melee
  • E Ranked Telekinetic Melee Weapon Control: the use of metal magic to telekinetically control metallic melee mage conduits. The weapons can be thrown and controlled in mid air to track targets within close range. Then pulled back into the mage's hands.
  • C Ranked Crush Metal: the use of metal magic to crush and destroy metal objects or vehicles.
  • B Ranked Destroy Weapons: the use of metal magic to cause the metal in object which is hit to rapidly break down.
  • B Ranked Vibration blades: the use of metal magic to cause a blade to rapidly vibrate allowing its cut through thick armor. Tends to get stuck.
  •
    Ranged
  • D Ranked Telekinetic Projectile Control: the use of metal magic to control metallic projectiles: darts, arrows, and crossbow bolts. The mage is able to control and accelerate the projectiles, hitting targets with extreme precision.
  • C Ranked Telekinetic Bullet Control: the use of metal magic to control bullets in mid air, adjusting their flight to flank targets.
  • C Ranked Metal Chain Attack: the use of metal magic to manipulate a mage conduit metal chain which can be perfectly controlled to grapple and attack enemies.
  • B Ranked Magnetic Attack:the use of metal magic magnetically accelerate small projectiles at rapid speeds at long range, although it cannot be guided like traditional bullets.
  • A Ranked Magnetic Scatter Attack:the use of metal magic magnetically accelerate small projectiles which shatter at rapid speeds, hitting multiple targets at once.
  • Artillery
  • C Ranked Telekinetic Artillery Control: the use of metal magic to make artillery shells more accurate by providing slight guidance assistance. Only usable with line of sight, or detection magic.
  • B Ranked Magnetic Artillery: the use of metal magic to magnetically accelerate artillery shells at rapid speeds at long range, with extreme precision.
  • A Ranked Magnetic Missile Artillery: the use of metal magic to magnetically accelerate large metallic bolt at slow, but extreme long range, targeting well known targets through artillery calculations.
  • Defensive

    Armor
  • C Ranked Reactive Armor: the use of metal magic to adjust the metal within a armor, shifting plates so as repair damaged points.
  • S Ranked Tank Armor: the use of metal magic to temporary give steel or better armor near total immunity against damage for up to 15 minutes.
  • Barriers
  • B Ranked Magnetic barrier: the use of metal magic to create a magnetic barrier which blocks physical melee and ranged attacks, although weak to lighting and light magic.
  • Interception
  • C Ranked Telekinetic Shield Control: the use of metal magic to telekinetically control metallic shields mage conduits. Either heavy shields to absorb more damage, or lighter shields for quicker reactions. Most useful against close attacks, since it is vulnerable to ranged firearms beyond sight.
  • Elemental and specific resistances
  • C Ranked Metal Resistance: the use of magic to give a degree of resistance to Metal attacks.
  • Support

    Stealth
  • C Ranked Iron Sand: the use of metal magic to control pure iron sand for various abilities, obfuscation, shield, or scatter attack.
  • Self Enhancement
  • B Ranked Metallic Skin Armor: the use of metal magic to temporarily alter and strengthen the damage resistance of a target.
  • Civilian Magic

    Mining
  • E Ranked Metal Identification: the use of magic to identify metallic materials and ore.
  • C Ranked Metal Refining: the use of metal magic to refine ores into their pure forms, separating the other materials.
  • Construction
  • C Ranked Metal Construction: the use of metal magic form metal into structures and buildings.
  • Crafting Magic
  • E Ranked Magical Polish: the use of metal magic to polish or shine metal objects, removing rust and other metallic related entropy, repeated for larger objects.
  • D Ranked Mend Metal: the use of metal magic to repair damaged metal based objects.
  • D Ranked Bend Metal: the use of magic to bend and warp metal into desired shapes.
  • C Ranked Metal Augmentation: the use of metal magic to increase the durability and strength of metal based weapons, tools, and armor.
  • C Ranked Inscribe Metal: the use of metal magic to create indented writing within metal surfaces.
  • B Ranked Magnetic generation: the use of metal magic to generate and control magnetic fields.
  • B Ranked Magical Metal Preservation: the use of metal magic to enhance metal to be resistant to rust, and other forms of natural and magical degradation.
  •
    Medical
  • D Ranked metallic Stretchers:the use of metal magic to transport injured on metal stretchers which are then controlled by the mage and brought to medical facility.
  • B Ranked Metal Surgery: the use of metal magic in surgery to allow precise control over surgical tools, which are able to be smaller and less invasive.
  • Logistics
  • C Metal Locks Manipulation: the use of metal magic to open physical locks by shaping the metal inside to allow entry, while also allowing for the creation of locks only openable by metal mages.
  • Priest Magic

    Anti Magic

  • C ranked Anti-Metal Barrier: the use of magic to create an invisible barrier which prevents the use of Metal magic within, except those granted permission by the caster.
  • Anti Yokai Magic

  • B Ranked Yokai Shackles: the use of metal magic to create special attacks using metal which grapple a target, preventing movement, and doing extra damage to Yokai.
  • Purification Magic

  • C Ranked Enrai Corruption Resistance Armor: the use of metal magic to enhance metal armor to give the wearer resistances against Enrai corruption. and its effects.
  • Puppet Magic

  • B Ranked Metal Puppet: the use of metal magic to create a puppet, which is a metal construct made of Iron, Steel, machine parts, etc. Most have full movement, are faster than a human, capable of using tools or weapon, and able to take simple commands autonomously while near the mage. They are usually are mediumly armored, with equipment depending on their purposes. It can last as long as the metal construct holds together.
  • Technology Integration

  • B Ranked Magnetic Trains: the use of metal magic to create magnetically accelerated trains, limited adoption.
  • B Ranked Mag Weapons:the use of metal magic to create magnetically accelerated firearms.
  • A Ranked Power Armor: the use of metal magic to create a suit of armor which is capable of supporting the user, greatly increasing their strength and damage Resistance. Metal magic supports and makes movement at fast speeds possibly.
