Air Magic

Magic Overview

Wind magic is the use of Enrai by Mages to control and manipulate wind, and various things relating to wind. Wind Mages were historically the sole masters of the sky, at least until the invention of airship. Wind Magic has a variety of uses, with it being flexible, but focusing more of offense then defense.

Strengths

Wind Magic can be done nearly everywhere, with air being sufficient in most places. Wind magic can be difficult to see with the naked eye, giving wind mages a a slight edge, except for debris. Mages can see the Enrai controlling the Wind.

Weaknesses

Although Wind Magic has few environments where its weak, high altitude can cause issue for those unaccustomed. In addition, underground may have thin or no air, preventing typical wind magic.

List of abilities

Wind magic has a wide range of abilities, with lower ranked abilities able to be used at a stronger level by high ranked mages. Combat Wind Mages usually prefer lighter weapons as mange conduits, staffs, Javelin, bladed fans, Throwing Discs, Boomerangs, Throwing knives, etc.

  • D Ranked Air Push: The use of wind magic to create a forward thrust pushing a target back.
  • C Ranked Air Blade: The use of wind magic to Form the air into a sharp blade capable of cutting through soft materials extending behind a mage conduit melee weapon.
  • B Ranked Wind Blast: creating a powerful blast of wind and force, capable of knocking down enemies and causing significant damage.
  • A Ranked Suffocation: the use of wind magic to create a localized vacuum around an hit target, which prevents breathing. Roughly should be maintained for at least a minute to knock out a target, more to kill.
  • S Ranked Hurricane Winds: the use of wind magic to create extremely strong wind attacks which few can stand against.

  • D Ranked Whirlwind Shot: the use of wind magic which creates rotating horizontal air around a projectile, accelerating it for increased damage.
  • C Ranked Pressurized Shot: the use of wind magic to rapidly accelerate a projectile with air pressure, doing significant damage.
  • B Ranked Shockwave Shot: the use of wind magic to Project air as a powerful shockwave along a ranged attack either as an area of effect or concentrated against one target.
  • B Ranked Gas Attack: the use wind magic to utilize toxic gasses, thrusting them into enemy positions, although generally disapproved by the general public.
  • A Ranked Vacuum Shot: the use of wind magic to create a powerful effect which pulls and crushes targets hit by the projectile.
  • S Ranked Tornado Shot: The use of wind magic launch at range multiple tornados of rotating wind which pulls in enemies, objects not fastened, and damages structures.

  • B Ranked Sound Mimicry Deception: the use of wind magic to shape air so as to mimic sounds to deceive enemies. Used to deceive an enemy on the location of troops, or to appear as a much larger force.
  • D Ranked Silence:[ the use of wind magic to silence the users footsteps and movments.
  • Self Enhancement
  • E Ranked Air Cushion: Using Air Magic to break a fall.
  • D Ranked Wind Aided Speed:[ using the wind pushed against the user to increase their agility and speed.
  • C Ranked Gliding: the use of wind magic to aid gliding by pushing air into the wings, to create semi aided flight.
  • B Ranked Flight: the use of wind magic constantly lifting the mage, with control to enable movement enough for flight. Can be prone to sudden failure if the mage losses concentration.

  • D Ranked Seeding: the use of wind magic to quickly spread seeds over a field or area, although this only works with seeds which don't need to be buried.
  • C Ranked Cloud Shaping: A skilled wind mage is able to shape the clouds as they please while flying, which allows them to induce rain clouds. Also used for entertainment purposes, by shaping the clouds in mini stories of well known figures or creatures.

  • B Ranked Mine Ventilation: the use of wind magic to push air further into mines to increase air quality deep down, as well as to discover and remove pockets of toxic air and gas.
  • Crafting Magic
  • D Ranked Wind Magic in Forges: the use of wind magic to aid in the forging of metals, and glass.
  • Medical
  • D Ranked Purify Air: able to purify the air of nocuous gasses, bad smells, or toxic gasses.
  • C ranked Relieve Fatigue: the use of wind magic to relieve a minor amount of fatigue from lack of sleep or exhaustion. Consecutive use is less effective, and with potential side effects.
  • Communication
  • C Ranked Sound Mimicry: the use of wind magic to shape air so as to mimic sounds and voices, not strong enough to use in any offensive capacity.
  • C Ranked Wind Messages: The use of wind magic to carry short vocal messages to a specific target within one mile range.
  • B Ranked Sound Proofing: the use of wind magic to prevent the transmission of sounds outside a extremely small area enough for a few people to communicate discreetly

  • E Ranked Wind Cleaning: the use of wind magic to clean surfaces, inside crevices, etc by blowing dust away and outside.
  • D Ranked Levitation: using wind magic to cause a person or object to hover in place, or as moved, useful for easily moving cargo and the wounded.
  • C Ranked Wind magic powered Sails: the use of wind magic to push air into sails, useful for sailing ships liking natural wind, or opposing the wind.

    Anti Magic

  • C ranked Anti-Wind Barrier: the use of magic to create an invisible barrier which prevents the use of Wind magic within, except those granted permission by the caster.

    Anti Yokai Magic

  • B Ranked mystical wind: the use of wind magic to create a special mystical stream of wind which is unsettling to mages, and does extra damage to Yokai when used in an attack.
  • Purification Magic

  • C Ranked Corruption Air purification: the use of wind magic to purify the air of Enrai corruption.
  • Puppet Magic

  • B Ranked Wind Puppet: the use of wind magic to create a puppet of moving and pressurized air, shaped in the form of a bird, which follows simple commands autonomously while near the mage. Wind puppets are primarily used for scouting and spying purposes due is ability to fly, gathering information discreetly, and being hard to notice. It can only last for at most 24 hours.

  • C Ranked Wind Magic as a component in machines:wind magic plays a part in many Enrai machines, from cleaning devices, washing machines, metal forges, cooling and heating devices etc.
  • B Ranked Air Ships: Wind Magic is the central magic which makes airships possible, enabling flight for ships of several dozen meters wide, used mainly for vip transport, special forces, scouting, and important cargo.
  • B Ranked Sound Related Machines: the use of wind magic to utilize sound in various ways in machines and devices: music/recording players, soundproofing a room, and increasing the range of voice with speakers.

    • E Ranked: Wind mages at this level know basic spells.
    • D Ranked: Wind mages at this level know beginner spells.
    • C Ranked: Wind mages at this level know Advanced spells.
    • B Ranked: Wind mages at this level know Expert spells.
    • A Ranked: Wind mages at this level know Master spells.
    • S Ranked: Wind mages at this level are the best Wind magic can do.

    Wind Magic Relation to other Magic

    Wind Magic can be strong against Fire Magic, while being weak against Earth Magic. Wind Mages have a easier time learning Lighting and Ice Magics.

    Wind Magic Training

    Wind Mages learn from a early age, usually focused much more on the specific feeling of wind then knowledge, typically learning best in mountain top locations.
