Ðiéithtír (IPA: /ðiːɛiθtiːr/)
Geography
Ðiéithtír is a relatively small continent in northern Asalia. The terrain is primarily forested hills and valleys, with the highest point being at the peak of Myn Serennyth.
Localized Phenomena
Entrances to the Otherworld are scattered across Ðiéithtír, allowing for movement back and forth by inhabitants of both realms. Called "crossing points" by locals, these thin patches in the metaphorical veil allow ambient Gheástr into the environment, giving the continent the highest levels of it found anywhere in Asalia. Correlating with an increased Gheástryn presence during the nights and in dark places, this also allows for intermingling and hybridization between fauna and flora native to both sides of the veil.
Fauna & Flora
Ðiéithtír's dense forests are made up of such various trees as oak, ash, hawthorn, blackthorn, rowan, hazel, and yew.
