Myn Serennyth
Both the name of the tallest mountain in Ðiéithtír and the circle of standing stones at its peak, Myn Serennyth is a location of great metaphysical and spiritual importance to both Cuédleür and Fey culture.
Purpose / Function
The standing stones of Myn Serennyth serve as both a geocompass and calendar, with different elements indicating specific directions and significant solar/lunar alignments. The eastward facing dolmen, for example, frames the rising sun at midwinter, and the southwestern menhir is believed to mark the direction the ancient Cuédleür came from when they first arrived in Ðiéithtír.
Alterations
The stone circle is known to have been a multi-generational effort, with elements added over the years as the ancient Cuédleür accumulated times and locations with enough significance to be deemed worth memorializing.
Tourism
Of more interest to the average modern Cuédleür than its time-telling properties is what Myn Serennyth is truly known for: the peak of the mountain serves as the final destination for the Path of Stars, with the stones themselves serving as the gates through which the Sun is said to return from the Otherworld after the longest night of the year.
Aside from the yearly pilgrimage, one might visit Myn Serennyth if one were looking to make an entreaty of the Fey, as within the stone circle lies a crossing point that, when the veil between the two planes is thin, allows for human travel between Asalia and the Otherworld - though not without considerable risk.
