House Styr
House Styr is a noble family and owners of Jagdheim situated in the northern parts of the Jagdalps.
Other than most noble families they still work in the cities smithies, producing high quality merchandise, training apprentices and sometimes even mining ores. This allowed a special bond to form between them and the rest of the inhabitants, noble or not. Members of this house are generally known as hands-on and practical and less caring the politics of the other houses.
Since they joined the Schwabhausen Rebellion they became one of the most important houses in the rebellion. Their goal is to permanently break free from the venetians and return Jagdheim to former glory.
History
After the venetians conquered Jagdheim the house was reorganized into the Styrian Artisans Guild. They were stripped of their noble status and were tightly knit into the Venecian Merchant Council's vassal structure. They had to abide by their laws and regulations, especially when it came to setting prices for ore, ingots or finished products and were forbidden to trade with anyone else and regularly inspected. The little they made selling their wares was taxed by the venetians to drain even more money out of them. This went on for decades until Vulcan Styr took up the mantle of guild master and prepared for insurrection. House Styr secretly supplied the Schwabhausen Rebellion with equipment they embezzled from the venetians and after Vulcan saw a chance to attack Venecia he marched out with 1.700 men and captured two forts that protected the roads to the city. House Styr officially joined the rebels, after destroying the forts, sacking the surrounding area and retreating back into the mountains to avoid the venetian army marching towards them.From Iron Commeth Strengh
