The Southern Island
Geography
The Southern Island is the smaller and less populous of the two. Generally considered more wild and beautiful, it is much more arid and mountainous than the north one. It is divided into a northern and southern half with three massive mountain ranges, the Cierin Mountains, the Bluewall Peaks, and the Fallcrest Mountains. The areas of settlement are mostly along the coast and the rivers which flow across the island. The Ni'Zar waste to the south is home to the Leonin, their prides wander the savanna and desert and sometimes raid the farms on the edge of the waste.
Natural Resources
The southern island is much less rich in natural resources than its northern brother. While some metals can be found in its mountains its main exports are the plants which can only grow in southern, more temperate, climates. These include olives and grapes, but also bananas, tobacco, dates, cocoa and coffee beans, tea...
