Walker

Ranger of the Wardens

Walker is the co-leader of the Walker's Wardens, along side Doyle. His family killed in the Novyum Civil War when he was a child. Walker, whose real name is Dean, wondered the Heartlands begging and surviving. He served as a ranger for several Corps in his youth to make ends meet, with little concern to political affiliations. Known as a skilled, but rebellious soldier, he butted heads with many of his superiors, claiming them as little more than foolish nobles looking for landgrabs. He was passed around by these warring nobles until fate put him in the Corps of Oaths where he would end up in a disastrous campaign in the Plashin Range. The Corps was defeated and slaughtered by the Plasha. He and other survivors stumbled through the mountains until they came to the town of Oates. Fate changed his life, and he found a home.

Originally, he planned to move on alone from Oates, vowing to never join another corps again. However, during his days of recover he grew closer to Shaw, the corps surviving Wizard, and the other survivors. The small group decided to not return to the bloody, pointless warring, following Walker's vow of never joining a corps again. They formed their own little band of mercenaries they called the Corp of Oates, that would later become Walker's Wardens.

He had fallen in love with Shaw, quickly starting a romantic relationship with her. The couple married on the tenth anniversary of their meeting. They had a daughter a few years later. Doyle gifted the couple with the ruins that would become Walker Castle on their wedding day.

In retirement he travels the Plashins weekly, keeping up with the local news. He and his wife Shaw, along with Doyle, train the new recruits of the wardens, and send them out of missions when Walker learns of trouble. The other remaining warders, Doyle and Rose, live in Oates, but have rooms in the castle and dine often with their old friends.
