Festivals and holidays
In Aj'kar, holy days are tied with the existing gods. While the holidays referenced here will be divided between those celebrated in Yasamaq and those celebrated in Siarvald, this doesn't mean that Qarah's Dream celebrates nothing. In fact, they celebrate both, as the city wishes to be as welcoming as possible to people from either continent.
3rd of Spring: The 3rd of Spring is considered to be a holiday for the Teacher; three continents, three people, three different ways in which knowledge manifests. Spring is also called the season of renewal of growth, completing this association with the god of learning.
37th of Spring: Aside from the Day of Thanks, the 37th of Spring is considered to be a holiday for the Father and the Mother. This is because this is the official date where the War for Unification ended, and thus, symbolically represents the 'birth' of the Kingdom of Vah'kan.
36th of Summer: The 36th of Summer is the holiday associated with the Lightbringer specifically. Situated at around the middle of Summer, that day is often considered to have the most sunlight out of the entire year, and so people often use it to bask in the warmth of the sun.
47th of Monsoon: The 47th of Monsoon is associated with the Destroyer, as legends say that is when he reclaimed the Ocean's tides from the Guide. This holiday is strange, as it mostly involves throwing food into the ocean in order to quell his wrath.
24th of Frost: The 24th of Frost is the holiday associated with the Guide, because the moon is always full on that particular night, no matter what the previous state of the moon was.
2nd of Spring: The 2nd of Spring is the holiday associated with Rodina, as it is on that day that she initially asked Arven for help on creating life.
16th of Summer: The 16th of Summer is the holiday associated with Farraige. A popular parabole which tells the tale of a massive fight between Farraige and Öken takes place on that day, and since Farraige won that day, it has been his holiday ever since.
48th of Monsoon: The 48th of Monsoon is associated with Scrios. This is in relation to an old legend that saw the entirety of the pantheon collaborate, in which Scrios played a capital role.
13th of Winter: The 13th of Winter is often considered a holy day for Arven, which can be considered as a kind of "day of the dead"; a celebration for those who were departed, with wishes that their next incarnation will thrive.
