Farraige (far-edge)
God of the ocean and fish
Allies: Akmens, Rodina, Arven
Enemies: Öken
Temples: Fisheries, ships
Worshippers: Fishermen, navigators, sailors
Sacred animal: Whale
Sacred colors: Black and blue
Holy symbol: A fish swimming amongst unsteady waves
[DnD 5e] Domains: Nature, Tempest
Because the Yasamaqi only have so many sources of food, Farraige remains an important god, even if those who live away from Mundegap rarely have cause to worship him (some still do when they go fish in the lakes themselves). He is the god who defines what the state of the Ocean will be on any particular day, and what bounty it will give to those who dare fish in it. Seeing the pantheon as a family, Farraige is the crazy uncle, the one whose behaviour can never really be predicted, even though he has the best interests of everyone in mind. Or so he says. Unlike the Destroyer of the Siarvaldan pantheon, Farraige is not considered as a god to be feared, nor as more of an obstacle than anything else. Indeed, he is still part of the divine family, and even though he may behave erratically, and even though this behaviour has and will cause problems for many people, the Yasamaqi still treat him with respect, and do their best to work around Farraige's mood. Notably, this means that Farraige, while associated with the chaotic tides and waves of the Yawning Ocean, is not considered to be responsible for its storms, unlike the Destroyer. No; anything that has to do with electricity is indeed linked to Öken, and some say that when a storm wracks the Ocean and the waves begin to roll high, that is the result of a fight between Öken and Farraige. These fights can be devastating for those unlucky enough to be nearby when they happen. Farraige is worshiped mostly by those who live near the Ocean. Mundegap has measures in place to avoid problems related to either low or high tide, though this has not always been the case, and all measures put in place now are the results of much trial and error. Even so, those who live there often pray to Farraige, and these prayers are unusual, as they are more reassurances meant to calm his mood.

Holidays
The 16th of Summer is the holiday associated with Farraige. A popular parabole which tells the tale of a massive fight between Farraige and Öken takes place on that day, and since Farraige won that day, it has been his holiday ever since.Common rituals and gestures
The prayers and rituals given to Farraige mostly involve giving him reassurances and praise, so that his mood is quiet and those who go to fish upon the Ocean will return safely. Farraige is the only god who has actual songs dedicated to him, and those are often sung on ships to further appease him. The jauntier, the better.Divine Intercessions
Sharing this particularity with the Destroyer, Farraige's blessings often involve making sure that the nets of the fishermen come back full of fish. Furthermore, some call a quiet Ocean a blessing from Farraige in an of itself. His curses display the full extent of his mood swings; chaotic waves, tides that seem to follow no rhyme or reason, and animals that attack ships much larger than they are.Aphorisms
The expressions associated with Farraige mostly have to do with his legendarily chaotic mood swings. It's gonna be one of those moods…: Said when the Ocean is unruly. Farraige's briney beard!: A curse uttered when a day's catch has not been good. I will pay it forward, Farraige: The reverse of the one above, this is used when a day's catch has been particularly bountiful.
