Unlike the base assumption of the Forgotten Realms setting, people do not worship a pantheon according to their race, but according to their continent. While both pantheons share similar values, their tenets are sometimes just different enough to cause tension. As an exception, the Tritons and the Beast-Blooded tend to worship different gods from the rest of the populace; the former because they live underwater and their values are therefore different, the latter because they often feel ostracised by their fellows, and have turned to their own gods in response.
