Rodina is the god who defines the lifestyle of the common people of Yasamaq. She instills the importance of family, of friends, and of life in community to the people, and her precepts and the tales associated with her teach people what to do and what not to do in that regard. If one sees the Yasamaqi pantheon as a family, then Rodina is the mother. She watches over the family that is the Yasamaqi people, and makes sure that people are getting along, reprimanding when needed, and punishing only when absolutely necessary. Rodina is responsible for the creation of the Yasamaqi people. In some versions, she crafted the people of Yasamaq (and perhaps even Siarvald) out of earth, and her brother Arven breathed life into them. Some believe the Arven's Gems were what initially gave birth to the first people. Whatever version is taken as truth, Rodina is seen as a creator. Rodina is as commonly worshiped as her husband, Akmens, is, but in a much more philosophical and abstract manner. Her worship forms as respect for one's family, respect for one's community, and generally living in Yasamaqi society in general. Historians often theorize that if it were not for the teachings of Rodina, Yasamaq would be an even more dangerous place, as her tenets help maintain social cohesion amongst the people, even (and especially) in hard times. Rodina has many forms, but the most common is a tall woman of the worshiper's race, with eyes made out of gleaming gems. Her body is also often described as being crafted out of gems, or at least shining as if it were.

Holidays
The 2nd of Spring is the holiday associated with Rodina, as it is on that day that she initially asked Arven for help on creating life.Common rituals and gestures
Many of Yasamaq's traditions actually stem from Rodina originally. This includes the tradition of leaving some chairs empty at the dining table to welcome the gods themselves. There are no prayers associated with Rodina, for following her tenets is to give worship to her.Divine Intercessions
Rodina is known to be generous with her blessings. Amongst them are blessings of fertility, of luck, and of prosperity, often cast over an entire family or clan instead of one individual person. Her curses, however rare, tend to be very vengeful, as they are given only to those who have truly offended her tenets beyond forgiveness. These curses include one that makes one ever able to have a family ever again, both through a fertility curse but also through an influence on other people, who would forever reject their presence.Aphorisms
The expressions used by worshippers of Rodina relate to keeping one's clan or family healthy. Clan and family by blood, but companion through hardship: Rodina emphasizes the importance of bonds of clan and family, but she is a pragmatic god. This expression is used to remind people that kinship can also be gained through hardship, but that it does not invalidate the strong links of blood. Don't let Rodina see that: An admonishment given to someone who has committed a minor fault, such as damaging a clansmember's property. The gods are going on a walk: This very common expression is used when guests come to a family's home, and the free spaces left at the dining table must be used. This originated from the tenets of Rodina.
