Saknis, commonly known as the Rooted City, is a massive settlement just north of Ossaco City and its encompassing district. Saknis sits on the aptly named Saknis Plateau, a piece of fractured land standing in the middle of the largest natural lake on Razhea Capita.

Saknis is well known to be one of the most reliable methods of accessing Razhea Capita's Underworld. An abandoned underground railway system has become a hub for crime rings and lewd activity. The city gets its name from the vast network of tunnels digging through the Saknis Plateau. Some say this is the original city, before it expanded to the skies above.

The city has undergone countless revivals, rebuilds, and expansions, solid platforms extending over the lake to account for the evergrowing resident population. While its underground scene is questionable at best, the upper levels of the city have become a hub for medical students. The Saknis Institude of Medical Research is one of the most prestigious schools on the planet, with a rigorous training program designed to bring out the best in every student.

Saknis is also well known for its fashion. Saknis fashion is a quirky blend of the vibrant Underworld and the more subtle, monochromatic Surface. Underworld Saknians like to use waxmite jaw parts in their outfits, especially utilising their saw-like maxillae.
