Aeromancy
Aeromancy, commonly known as air magic, involves air and atmospheres. This field of magic allows sorcerers to manipulate wind currents, weather phenomena, various gases both natural and artificial, atmospheres and atmospheric pressure, among others.
When combined with other types of magic, aeromancy becomes one of the most lethal forces in existence. It is commonly used alongside floramancy, to disperse spores and seeds for cultivation and agriculture.
Serpent's Path
The Serpent's Path is the realm air magic is drawn from. This endless stretch of floating islands, whirling waterfalls and wind currents is difficult to navigate.
Unless you can fly with great power, you must rely on the ever-present wind currents to lift you from one island to another.
Each island is covered in a thick layer of teal moss, softening landings. Few tall trees and shrubs grow on these islands, instead populated with small flowers and fungi.
The realm is inhabited by a large group of sorcerers, calling themselves the driftweavers. They carve protective runes in the endless skies, banishing angry, evil entities attempting to break through dimensional walls.
The eye of only the most powerful, destructive hurricanes act as a portal to the Serpent's Path. Navigating past racing winds is a difficult task that can easily kill an amateur sorcerer. Fighting against the hurricane isn't the way to go; let yourself be carried by the storm, and it shall bring you to its eye.
Utility & Usage
Creating and manipulating wind, breezes, and storms, among other weather phenomena, is the most well known application of air magic. Sorcerers are able to manipulate ghostly apparitions, these powers leeching into phantomancy.
It is rare we get students that are already skilled in air magic. It's just, not a thing kids choose to study. Fifteen years old and she could already suck the lungs right out of our test animals. I should've realised then and there, what a threat to the school's safety she was.
The more powerful a sorcerer, the better control they have over the weather. Amateurs may only be able to manipulate the smallest of breezes, but with enough training put in, soon a user can manipulate the most powerful of hurricanes or tornadoes. Beyond this, a user can freely alter air temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure.
Aeromancy is frequently used alongside other types of magic. In sorcerer schools air magic is typically taught alongside other magics.
Floramancy
Farmers on many planets, such as Capepo, utilise both aero and floramancy, to better disperse seeds on large stretches of farmland.Phantomancy
Some sorcerers are called upon by spirit workers to guide lost souls to the afterlife, physically moving them.Hydromancy
Many hydromancers are also skilled aeromancers, allowing them to manipulate ocean waves much easier.Users
Driftweavers don't trust people. They don't have it in them. The one time I visited the Serpent's Path, a group of them trapped me and brought me to some chambers hidden in one of their villages. Took me five days of pleas, begging, and grovelling for them to let me go. I think the only reason I got released was because I was so annoying. So, little tip if you ever get caught by them.
Driftweavers are infamous in the world of air magic. They are heavily featured in practically every aeromancy textbook in schools, in myths and legends, described as the most lethal sorcerers in the Yonderverse. According to identical legends from multiple independent mythologies, driftweavers were banished to the Serpent's Path around a hundred thousand years ago, after being sucked into the eye of the Forever Storm.
Floating Derry
Floating derries are a species of magical lotus native to Maloruno. These flowers contain higher levels of aeromagis, which is what gives them ability to remain airborne constantly. Many animals utilise air magic. Cloudhoppers use a combination of air and water magic to traverse the clouds, walking along water vapour and passively influencing storms and their paths.
Dragons commonly possess aeromagical powers. Species such as duskcrawlers can alter air pressure around them to keep them afloat. Others glide in the skies their entire lives, having lost their legs over millions of years of evolution.
A handful of commonly grown crops on Capepo are aeromagically inclined. Current currants float along air currents, windswept cacti roll faster and faster until they smash into a hard surface and release their seeds, and orbitfruits have even smaller fruits orbiting the plant's stem. Aeromagical foods are light, fluffy, and delicious.

Air magic being used to control the weather and carry along spirits is really cool! :D But I'd hate to meet a driftweaver; they are not pleasant ^^'
Thank you so much! Maybe driftweavers are nice people... if you are also a driftweaver xD
