Silverkeep
Demographics
The population is rougly 35 percent aristocratic, 50 percent working class or business owners, and 15 percent adventurers who own or rent property within the city. Most races can be found in varying amounts withing, including rather exotic individuals or small groups.
Government
Taxes are enacted in order to maintain the city and its citizens at a 10% rate to base cost.
Laws are enforced by divisions of town guards, with most crimes coming down to a varying fine or jail time, with more serious crimes being brought before a public court and judged by the King and his Council.
The city guard is split between the four districts, with each area having their own color tabards to distinguish them from other guards. The hierarchy comes down from the King's Captain to the 1st Lieutenant to the District Captains (commonly referred to as DC's) to District Lieutenants (commonly referred to as DL's).
Defences
A major Paling protects the city perimeter, preventing non-priviliged magic usage toward or inside the city.
A massive wall of magically reinforced stone surrounds the city, around 80 feet high and 20 feet thick. Archer slits adorn this wall every 10 feet horizontally and 20 feet vertically.
Ballistas and catapaults designed to fling bundles of alchemist's fire and poison dot the top of the wall, alternating and spread about 50 feet apart, with crates and racks of ammunition readily available for all.
Industry & Trade
The lush grassland surroundings make for fantastic farmland, and they export a huge amount of produce alongside livestock, several types of trade goods, gems, and fine artisan goods produced by many crafters working for the city or the Society, who also contributes a portion of its funds to the city.

Points of interest
The Forum of Truth - An ampitheater in the Entertainment District that houses public debates of varying natures, mainly philosophical or religous. On occasion, when a public trial is to be held, it is usually here, with the King's Court sitting as judge and jury.
Silvermoon Jail - A large structure with two floors and a basement. Petty criminals serving time or awaiting trial are kept on the upper two levels, while criminals due to be executed are kept on the lower level.
Foreign Embassy - A building isolated by a large wall in the port district, it allows quick transfer from ship to a comfortable abode for any delegation visiting Silverkeep while giving them security and privacy. Managed by a small group of professional butlers and mages, it can be redecorated in moments to suit any tastes and appease prominent visitors.
Architecture
Mainly English medieval architecture, adventuring shops tend to have more unique flair to them. Most buildings have some planter boxes or pots set out front. The streets are well paved, with wider avenues for carts and magical crystal topped lightposts along them that come on as the sun sets.
Geography
Sat amidst rolling grasslands, the city is nestled along a small coastal inlet and surrounded by a huge wall. The inlet feeds into the ocean, providing plenty of fish and allowing sea trade.
Climate
The climate is always moderate with a slight breeze due to the magical Paling that covers the city. The invisible 'dome' still shows the outside weather, letting those who travel outside know the conditions.
