The Carved Combat Coliseum
A grand colosseum buillt at the heart of Silverkeep, this impressive structure was built during the Age of Unity as a show of solidarity between races. With its flamboyant announcer, unique quirks, and vast safety measures, it quickly became popular amongst the masses, even drawing in large crowds from across the world for its tournaments and special events.
Purpose / Function
Holds tournaments, battle training, and other similar activities for training and entertainment.
Architecture
A square roman-esque arena with a large hinged roof, engraved with warriors engaged in scenes of battle. When not being used for special events, the roof remains closed, with a large skylight in the center opened instead. The different viewing areas have several magical wards and devices deployed throughout that send out blasts of enviromental effects as events unfold to help the audience encapsulate the experience.
Defenses
A Minor Paling of magical wards and defensive spells creates an invisible dome of protection around the center area, letting incredible events unfold without having to worry about potential casualties or damages.
History
King Bromkin had the Colisseum built to originally showcase the fiery spirit of anyone who wished to fight, no matter their race or origins during the Age of Peace, wishing to increase the bonds forged amongst the many races during and after the Cataclysm.
Tourism
All sorts of people and races often flock to Silverkeep for its larger events and tournaments, which often lead to exotic goods being up for sale at the Bazaar Square in the heart of the Adventuring Quarter, and most of the Inns in the city being booked solid for up to several weeks.
