Noonshade Oasis

The Noonshade Oasis was destroyed centuries ago when the mine was first opened. It happened gradually, at first, but picked up speed as slag and heavy salts were dumped in its vicinity, fouling the water and killing all of the vegetation usually supported by an oasis. The source of the spring was destroyed, eventually, and the water gathers elsewhere, now. The land is pocked and destroyed by the workers tearing away the soil in strips to get at the precious minerals therein.

Purpose / Function

The oasis was originally a blue beacon of hope in an immense stretch of dunes and featureless sand.

Alterations

The oasis was destroyed by the mining operations at the site.

Architecture

It is now a strip mine, with a processing plant built onsite.

Defenses

The mine is located so far out in the desert it is very nearly impossible to just stumble upon it. Even so, The Etched have built the village of Toun off of the Sandeep Road running north from Darra. They can thus turn away even more people that might come across their illicit operations.

Tourism

There is no tourism to the mine.
