Aruvian Kingdom
Realm of the Barrow-Kings
The Kingdom of Aruvia is a centralized monarchy, where lords and nobles are expected to carry out the will of the king first, and their own second. The Kings’ will is made known and is then executed by departments within the Magistry. Lord Magisters, usually noble men and women in charge of specific duties or areas enjoy a greater amount of power than most Lords, but political or economic sway is still ‘king’.

Public Agenda
Holding back the storm of nocturnal beasts and ghouls is the neverending task of any man or woman who settles in the Aruvian Kingdom, but with great risks, come great rewards. Guilds with and without royal decree give plentiful bounties for the slaying of monsters.
Assets
The Aruvian Kingdom is home to the best trained and most diverse millitary organizations on the Vangard Coast. Many mercenary companies are also kept on retainer in Aruvia, but many are also loaned out to other sovereigns. Once you've faced an 8ft tall werewolf, a regular war seems very much like a vacation.
History
The founding of the Aruvian Kingdom goes back further than recorded history, but the current Dynasty, Horst, is fairly well documented. After the thousand year reign of the immortal Barrow-King Nahrkin ended, only the title Barrow-King remained of the dark rule. The Horst Dynasty scion plunged his hand into the vampire-lords chest with his magically silvered hand and ground it to dust, claiming the throne for himself, and the Dawnmother. The bloodmoon month still clings to the darkness of deep winter, but the Horst Dynasty stands strong against the encroaching darkness to this day. His descendant Victor IV Horst still holds the silvered barrow-crown, and rumour has it that the hand of his revered forefather, rests in the dark vaults of Barrow Castle.
Religion
The Sect of the Silverhand within the Argent Host actually holds more power, military or otherwise, than the actual Argent Church these days. Though the High Priest of the Argent Host still holds mass, and is technically the religious head of the Silverhand Sect, he does not control them. This potentially makes Bolivar Caridian, Grandmaster of the Silverhand Order, the most powerful religious head in Aruvia.
Agriculture & Industry
No one makes better arms or armour than Dwarves it is said, but no one can forge Silver into weapons like Aruvians. Over the centuries, their battles with dark forces and experiments with the noble metal, they have perfected the craft. Due to the harsh climate, and the dark month of Bloodmoon, it is hard to farm in Aruvia, but sturdy crops survive, and trading with the free isles and the Vistain barony is more than enough to sustain the populace.
Trade & Transport
The Old Althoran road stretches all the way to the Glass Desert to Kingshall mountain, but it is in disrepair, and in some places, completely gone. Convential caravans through Ghostfog Hills is not an option, but Courier caravans through Vistain, or ships coming from The Free Isles is. This makes Aruvia not only dependent on other nations to freely trade, but vulnerable to embargos. Good relations between Aruvia, Vistain and The Free Cities, and even the Amberheart Clans is paramount for Aruvia to prosper.
Education
Schools and Colleges in Aruvia are generally only attended by the wealthy. Though the Argent Host churches throughout the countryside are expected to teach basic literacy and arithmetic, this is not always done. The most prestigious schools in Aruvia can be found in Barrow and Ramfort respectively; The Horst College of War and Law, and the Argent School of the Divine Arts. Though both of these schools are widely respected amongst the Aruvian nobility, those who can afford to, usually send their young to study abroad.
Though nobility is not a requirement to study, the admissions process is usually designed to weed out any 'upstarts', though sometimes people will slip through the cracks.
Infrastructure
The Magistry is tasked by the Barrow-King to oversee the infrastructure and agriculture of Aruvia. Traveling magistrates usually oversee large constructions and additions, but also to fine and collect tax in the countryside. The maintenance of roads and fortifications are usually left to stationed Lord Magistrates overseeing towns and villages.
