Keepers of Truth
Justice is relative.
Whereas the Greyguard are firmly kept in check by the Silver Codex, the Keepers of Truth not only bend it to their will, but are laws unto themselves sanctioned by the Argent Church and the Aruvian Government. Fanatic followers of Jalis, the Keepers travel the country adjudicating small town squabbles, or even oversee important trials in the capitol. The rigid teachings of the Eldest Argent God leaves little room for mercy, and they are both feared and respected by both commoners and nobles.
Structure
The Keepers are led by a High Judge elected from amongst the wandering judges themselves. Usually, a Judge will take one or two apprentices or squires. After the apprentices are deemed worthy, they are fully inducted as Judges themselves, taking their own apprentices.
Public Agenda
The Aruvian Kingdom employs the Keepers to oversee trials, settle disputes, and sometimes to root out dangerous heretics.
Assets
The Keepers of the Truth reside in a grand monastery in Grenfield called the Temple of Jalis. It is fortified, well defended, and supplied by smaller nearby settlements, primarily Magecross. They also occupy many posts within the Magistry of Justice at the Hall of Judgement in Barrow.
