Background and Rise to Power   Rennik Ironstrike, often known simply as “Renny,” was born into the Ironstrike Clan, a storied family with deep military traditions in Ironholt. His father, Barak Ironstrike, was a former Ironwatch General who played a pivotal role in the kingdom’s defense against the invading forces of Vinterhaven nearly two decades ago. From an early age, Renny showed immense promise as both a strategist and a fighter, quickly becoming known for his sharp mind and unparalleled combat skills.   Renny’s path to leadership in Ironholt's military came through merit, not just blood, as is expected in his culture. His early years in the Ironwatch were marked by quick promotions, where he demonstrated not only his strategic brilliance but also his ability to unify a team. He became the youngest ever to hold the rank of Ironwatch Captain, and when the previous General unexpectedly passed away during a border skirmish, Renny’s leadership was unanimously called upon to fill the position.   Renny’s decision to take the role was an important turning point, not just for him, but for Ironholt. He was known as a military leader who valued inclusivity, respect for diversity, and creating an environment in which all Ironholt’s people could thrive, including marginalized groups. He rose to influence at a time when Ironholt's culture was only barely begining to accept non-binary genders and sexual preferences. It’s no surprise, then, that his acceptance of his bisexuality and relationship with Gale Frostbeard, a prominent genderqueer figure, set a precedent for greater openness and acceptance within the Ironwatch.   Personal Life   Renny’s bisexuality and his relationship with Gale Frostbeard are well-known within Ironholt, though the couple has largely kept the details of their partnership private. Their relationship is built on mutual respect, a shared vision for a more inclusive society, and an understanding of each other’s personal and political struggles.   Despite their significant influence in Ironholt’s elite circles, Renny and Gale do not seek the spotlight.
